I didn’t know the AI goalie was consistently playing at all star level but tbh I’m glad they at least have some form of consistency. Confirmation on this would be great so that I’d know to always play against all star plus when offline for scoring practice on HUT.
The rating on cards is nothing but deceptive. An 84 rated card should not have the ability to exceed its rating. But. EA increases every card that is utilized by the AI to levels above and beyond. With each level. Rookie. Semi pro. Pro. Allstar. Superstar. That 84 rated card plays at a much higher rating than the card describes. What EA should have done was. With each level. A players personal team rating would be recognised an placed in the level appropriate with their rating. A lower rated team could play in a higher level. But higher levels could not drop back to lower levels. This would also allow for the removal of the rookie. Semi pro. Pro. Etc levels to be eliminated. It also gives the non skilled players a chance to be more competitive as they slowly build their team. Doing it this way, would create more competitive players, whereby trying to find opponents online would be more plentiful. After all. Is this not the original concept of this game. Fun and improvement. EA uses rates in this game as a manipulation to try to get players to fork out cash for their ridiculous overpriced packs. Pure scam. It should also be noted that. The AI cannot distinguish player identities. It only recognizes the algorithms that have been established for pre set ratings. So. Thinking your 90 McDavid card will play better than a similar 90 Donald Trump. Would be a mistake in judgement.
