Moments and OT

Hi there. Unfortunately, we can't force Heatley to be on the ice in OT. I'll pass on the feedback for you though. I understand how frustrating this can be.

Is there any chance that we could get an explanation why you can't force a player to be on the ice in OT in Moments? There is no obvious reason for it, so as long as we don't get an explanation, it feels very strange. It would be very nice to be able to understand it, and I feel like it could be less frustrating than it is now if we knew the reason for it instead of only knowing that there is an unknown reason why a player can't be forced to be on the ice.

I was told we couldn't force a player on the ice in OT when this came up for a previous moment. Most likely, it would require a patch. Those take several weeks because patches always include fixes for multiple issues. Unless it's something critical, we're not going to release a patch for a single issue. I'm trying to get some more details on this. If I do, I'll provide an update.

Edit: I have confirmed that this would require a patch. I know it sounds simple, but it's a pretty significant amount of work. The team is looking into other options to see if we can get Heatley on the ice for OT.

Since it was him scoring twice. Before the OT. Had he scored at all? If not. Perhaps the fact that you were not going to complete the event. Might have played into it. Just a thought. With that said. An event geared around one individual player. He should be on the ice at all times.

I'm not the person who originally posted the question so I don't know if Heatley had scored before the OT or not, but I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with him not being on the ice in OT.

Thanks for the response. I was under the impression that you can't do anything about it at all, so it's nice to hear that you can actually do something about it. I hope you will either fix it in a patch of find another way to fix it.

I don't know when the next patch is going to be released, or if there are even going to be any more patches for NHL 25, but speaking of patches, we are still waiting for the autofill and multi-select issues to be fixed. Do you have an update on the situation with those issues? I feel like it has been quite a long time since the last time you talked about them.

I don't have an update on these, unfortunately. I don't know if they will be resolved for NHL 25.
