Ratings
Can anyone really say that ratings in this game have any significance at all. Cards are given original ratings as to the overall rating of the player. You play at different levels and the AI increase...
If you're consistently losing to 82s on All-Star when you have a substantially higher rated team, you may want to bump the difficulty down to Semi-Pro.
You're always welcome to provide video showing your faster players getting beat by much slower players.
Never said I was being beaten there Aljo. My comment was about ratings not being truthful. Best read my comment again. And regarding the video. You know as well as I. That the video produces no results. Videos have been sent in for various reasons. And nothing becomes of them. Just ask the community if anyone has experienced speed equalisation with lesser rated cards. That way. You at least have proof that its not a one out of the ordinary scenario.
dogheels im not trying to call you out as sometimes you bring up great points but you just seem so negative on things. Are you trying to have them change the overall rating on players depending on difficulty level? Is this a transparency thing that’s bothering you in this situation? I’m trying to understand what you’re trying to have changed here.EA_Aljo kinda said it already that if it’s to much of a challenge try a lower level and work your way up.
Np asking for my take. My comment is based on the premise that ratings on a card should play at that rating. What EA has done is. It creates levels of skill to compete at. Rookie Pro etc. You as an individual build your team up according to those ratings. The better the ratings. Usually a better performance. Now you play against a team whose rating is 86 overall. That team should play according to the ratings it was given. But instead, because of thes skill levels that are in place. That 86 rated team gets elevated with each skill level. Going back years ago. Ea had implemented a tier system based on skill level. Novices were grouped with similar players. Skilled players vice versa. It at least allowed you to play equally at the rating level that was established. And there was an honest element to the rating. Not being jacked. This system they have in place now when you think about it. Is somewhat bias
In origin. It allows skilled players to reach goals much quicker than those that are not as skilled. As a new comer to the game. Do you think you would compete well against an AI team in superstar. Most likely not. And with this XP format they now have. Playing at a lower level. Takes several times longer. Its the same with the HUT moments. A gradual increase to superstar to get the final objective. Again. Being bias. Why I said to tier the ratings. Skilled players should be playing tougher rated teams. While novices can both learn and begin to excel at the lower levels. It was done before. No reason it can't be brought back. I know you have seen my comment as a negative retort against the game. And in a way it is. After playing this game for decades. It just becomes tiresome and bothering, to see them remove good elements of the game, and substituting it for inferior ones. 24s rewards system to this years as an example. Thanks for your feedback. Appreciate counter opinions. Only way to better evaluations. And as a side note. I use to play online. But the constant delay in matching opponents, and the backing outs. Became a bore. As for lowering my level. I play at superstar. Like I said. Been playing for a long time. And to be clear. This excerpt is not about me. Its garnered in support of those trying to learn this game. Not a fair playing field.
Sorry, I did want to mention to you my background. I’ve been playing since the first version on Sega Genesis and have owned every version from NHL hockey before it had a year ((think it was 1990) and the Euro version (can’t recall which came out first) and have owned every version since then. This is however my first year playing HUT and online. Hence some of my stupid questions. I do read each of your posts though and value what you’re saying just with little knowledge on what you’ve had to go through as far as HUT. Just hope your not taking any offense to any of my comments as they are honest questions and I’m not trying to call you out on anything at all.

There have been many videos over the years that have been used to make changes. I don't think you ever provide them so there's nothing we can do about the issues you're reporting.
You're making claims 82s are outperforming 95s without any evidence. If this was truly an issue, we'd have more reports of it. With video to back it up. The issue of slower players beating faster ones has coming up for several years. Out of all the videos we've received, there was one single time it was questionable. Which, was never replicated and could have been a bug or one time occurrence. We have received a ton of videos on this issue over the years and every other one showed it was due to the mechanics of skating. Meaning, they were turning while carrying the puck or the slower player had a step on them.
If you want this investigated, you're going to need to provide video. Again, we'd have video evidence if this were real because it's been a hot topic with the community for many years, but has never been proven to actually exist. It comes down to a skill issue more than anything else.
Taking offline play SBs as our example. On rookie. An 86 speed rated player performs at that rating. In superstar. What is his speed rating now? You contend that it isn't possible for inferior speed rated players to match or excel superior ones. Play the game. And watch how your higher rated D man can't catch a slower rated AI forward. And shouldn't that 86 speed rated player maintain his rating, regardless the level. No. He's jacked. Videos can't tell the whole story. Witnessing can. Play a game in SBs at superstar against an inferior rated team. Then tell me, you see no indifference. Also check HS182 and his comment, if you get a chance.
Player ratings don't change with each difficulty. They have the same speed, hitting, endurance, etc. They play more aggressively though and make better decisions.
Videos can't tell the whole story. Witnessing can.
I don't see how this is true. Video will show what is happening. You don't need to feel how the game plays to recognize a slower player outskating a faster one. We also rarely even get these videos so that also points to this being more of an issue with how someone plays.
