Franchise Mode Feedback...

I've been playing EA titles for years. My game mode of choice has always been offline franchise/dynasty modes. Lately I've been on an NHL 26 kick. I hadn't gotten the game in a few years, but did this year and have been really enjoying it. I appreciate the work that goes into these games and wanted to share a suggestion.

I understand the need to limit editing for real players due to licensing and likeness rules. However, I believe fictional, auto-generated prospects in Franchise Mode should be fully editable.

Other games like NBA 2K and MLB The Show allow this level of customization, and even other EA titles like Madden and EA CFB offer more flexibility once leagues within the mode become populated with generated players. For those of us who enjoy long-term franchise saves, this kind of freedom makes this mode feel more like a true sandbox. If it's an offline mode, I don't understand the need for such restrictions.

Being able to fully edit players, especially auto-generated ones, would allow us to shape development, create storylines, and build a more immersive experience w/o impacting real player restrictions.

Thank you for your time and continuing to support a series I've enjoyed over the years.

  • Oh yeah one more thing. I feel like this could be a relatively easy patch. Again citing another EA game as an example, EA CFB 25 did this in a patch early in its development cycle.

Can you please do this for NHL 26?

    Thanks!
