Game is brutal in Atlantic Canada. I’m in NL and best we can get is 40 ping which is whatever. The problem is every game you play against people in Montreal on less than 5 ping. Why isn’t there a server in Atlantic Canada?Parr0tt4 hours agoSeasoned Novice34Views0likes3CommentsLove for the other leagues
For NHL 27 , EA needs to embrace the authenticity of the AHL/ECHL/CHL …with better arenas and atmosphere and branding with improved broadcast packages for the other leagues. There is an untapped potential for creating a new experience in NHL 27. I hope this happens. love the gameBendel315 hours agoRising Rookie25Views0likes1Commentdescribe what a lag switch motion or manipulation someone delays the game?
I was playing a game a second ago and within the first couple minutes of the game the game froze completely for about 10 seconds,! Then there was this massive spike of speed all over the ice where players were resuming around, almost a fast forward motion to catch up However, after this, my players became absolutely immobile, the other players that were 91 overall with 90 speed or 92 speed or completely dominant over my 97 Stasny or any 97 player I had….. completely wiping up my players…. They scored eight goals in about 14 shots…. I believe I was cheated, but again, nothing has done about it!!! Just curious, am my Internet is 800 with a ping of less than 3037Views0likes1CommentLag/tilt/cheat never fails
Going to third period I am up 4–2, I love shooting the player 14–7. The third period starts the players is not moving for the first 30 seconds….. then he starts moving my team begins to go into an absolute drag fest. I can’t skate. My passes are terrible and this guy can skate circles around me with one player that can fly through the ice can outpace my 97 players I lose the game 6–4…. You cannot tell me with a straight face that this isn’t either cheating or server lag. His goalie can stand under her head makes saves that made no sense. His players could get nailed by my player who’s a 96 overall defenseman with boost and the bounce off three hits in a row and keep going, doesn’t even slow down….. If you expect me to believe this is not a cheat, I guess next want to sell me some beachfront propertyin Denver This is an absolute ridiculous to occur this often. Also, as I said before, it happens from same players from a province in Canada. It never fails What an absolute joke149Views2likes6CommentsWorld of chel match making.

Why does a Be A Pro have to be the highest point player to be a centre man. Back in the old days before 2021 you played (1-2) years in the CHL and stayed a centre man thought out your career. Now play at most 8 games as a junior as a centre man then get drafted. But no matter what you play a winger until you are the highest point player! I think that nhl 27 should have realistic stanley cup final wins, like say franchise mode its always a little celebration and then turns into a big celebration from the bench. But maybe in be a pro we can choose our own celebration on winning the stanley cup, like flipping the gloves off rushing over to hug your goalie, be able to live like an actual celebration on winning the cupq7txp9qewajn2 days agoRising Newcomer17Views1like0CommentsGetting Dashboarded

This Is in subject from the previous discussion but said in a different terminology. So as my friends locally have disbanded World because of certain X-factors sitting behind a paywall it led to this. First off the characters many of them have attributes that you can't obtain F2P for a custom build. Ask majority of the community members, nobody wanted this. If EA NHL was to do an interview with the content creators or anyone they would see that. So currently these characters are listed at a discount currently from 2500 points and under. For the bundle of characters its more expensive which sits at a cost of 27, 700 price originally which is over $200 CDN. Discount is 5, 500 at over $60. As we dig further down the paywall season 2 X Factor bundle is 5,000 discounted which is over $60 also mathematically speaking. Now for the biggest annoyance is a singular X factor is 1250 points which is about $15 CDN... so it order to have Elite Wheels it costs money. Yeah $15 isn't much but who wants to pay that price for an X Factor? My money could be spend somewhere reasonable. The responses on the last thread that these could have been obtained during the events doesn't delegate the fact the fact these are sitting behind an expensive paywall to obtain them now. If you're someone who has a life outside of gaming there isn't always the change to commit to these. I'm not gonna quit my job or take a day off for something like this... where is the F2P aspect into be able to get these anytime through leveling up? Like even other games give that option. And this brings me to the last part of this. X Factors do play a part in the gameplay just like in example a loadout does in games like Battlefield. Say a weapon loadout will have a specific affect on aim, shot and damage. As in NHL 26 Wheels Elite will have a better affect on speed. Someone who doesn't have it uses more stamina and is drained faster. The pressure system in this case works against you during that scenario. This happens in HUT all the time when someone has elite wheels they are able to out skate someone who doesn't. That is why you often see low overalls out skate higher because it focuses on attributes rather than overall. In conclusion it's an expensive product and this game mode now is monetized which it used only be a little bit. Heck even to get jerseys, arena's and such for club it sits behind an unlockable wall which i understand but really makes it hard for clubs to keep interest when not everyone can be online 24/7... Feel free to continue your opinions but lets keep the sarcasm and attacks out so it doesn't get locked.DeathcoreRitchy32 days agoSeasoned Rookie452Views4likes25CommentsWhat's the status of Cronus Zen and cheating?
I know, playing EA's NHL needs reflexes and skill. I am old and slow. I guess this is a big part of the reason, why I suck so much at this game. But on the other hand, there are some players online, that seem to have kind of superhuman abilities. What is going on in regard of things like Cronus Zen and other cheating on the platform? Especially the poke checks, body-checks seem to be unrealistically fast with them. Is it possible to cheat in NHL 26? I mean above the glitches like the L2'ing and the other things mentioned in this forum quite often.septicon3 days agoRising Hotshot113Views0likes4CommentsIssues with the AI "balance"
The in-game AI feels as though its consistently manipulating gameplay in ways that break immersion and fairness, tilting matches in its own favor. Instead of providing a fair challenge, these behaviors create frustration by undermining player skill and consistency. Including various behaviours such as; AI defenders frequently engage in consecutive shoves that escalate into clear cross checks, yet no penalties are ever really called—even when these actions could not be anymore exact on what the rule is for(cross checking and tripping are the seemingly most egregious offenders, countless times a poke has tripped me on or close to a breakaway and no call, let alone a penalty shot like it should be). Defensive AI recover far more quickly from contact than human players unless laid right out, and are seldom slowed down by actions that would impede a user-controlled skater or cause them to stumble in similar situations. AI opponents display abnormal, nearly instant acceleration to cut off problematic movement or passing lanes deemed severe threats, with no reliable warning or visible pattern for when this will occur. The AI abuses movement priority, intentionally maneuvering to block or mirror player movement, often actively bodying into and shadowing the user in ways that feel unnatural and excessively obstructive. Light shoves from opponents reliably knock the player off the puck or stun them, while forceful contact from the player has little impact on the AI under similar circumstances. None of these behaviors “make the game harder” in a skillful way—the AI shifts in responsiveness or aggression with no consistent logic, making its actions not necessarily "unpredictable", but "enough to predictably ignore various methods to strip them of posession The AI’s skating logic is especially problematic: CPU players will suddenly skate full tilt directly into walls, abruptly hard-stop, then accelerate backwards with the same momentum they hit the wall with, especially when the user gains control of a nearby defender. Attempting to mix up defensive or offensive approaches—including feints and direction changes—has very little effect, as the AI matches every movement in perfect unison regardless of pattern or number of changes. The AI’s skating agility while moving backwards seemingly suffers no penalty, letting it perfectly maintain gap control and mimic player actions from optimal distance with no visible disadvantage. Lunging the opportunity a player makes a move or crosses an arbitrary threshold Rather than introducing fair errors or realistic unpredictability, the AI “compensates” for its rare mistakes by inconsistently draining player stamina or otherwise handicapping the user, which feels arbitrary and unnecessarily punishing or frustrating. AI contact often feels as if players are treated like + and - magnets; whether or not “magnetic” attraction results in a successful hit or separation is determined by the AI’s arbitrary decision of what constitutes an acceptable collision. Heavy hits rarely result in lost possession and sometimes several defenders are needed to stop a puck carrier, with possession conveniently transferring to nearby AI attackers afterward. Puck battles in crowded areas seldom feel authentic—instead, entering a scrum typically means unsuccessfully trying to shove opponents out of the way or waiting for a player to locate the puck in his feet and get a stick on it. Predictably, the nearby AI immediately anticipates this and your stick gets lifted immediately. While opponent AI routinely uses logical man-to-man defensive systems, AI teammates on the user’s side routinely fail to provide this same support, especially during HUT Challenges; defenders instead allow attackers to breeze past them repeatedly with little to no attempt at coverage or resistance. A fair and sensible experience would involve AI behaviors that align with realistic hockey dynamics and give an equitable sense competition, without having to erode a level playing field. Physical contact should consistently impact puck possession and player stability regardless of which side initiates it and if minor shoves carry stun/slow effects on them, they should apply both ways, with both AI and human players equally vulnerable to momentum shifts, mistakes, and recoveries. Defensive AI should properly execute man-to-man coverage as an option for both teams that provide support and prevents attackers from repeatedly breaking through uncontested. Player skill and strategic variations—such as feints, positioning, and timing—should meaningfully influence gameplay outcomes, rather than the AI reacting with robotic precision or arbitrary stamina penalties. Overall, success should feel earned through authentic effort and less "luck based" feats, predictable hockey logic that rewards anticipation, smart decision-making, and adaptability, making gameplay challenging but transparent.NBLSXSopeX3 days agoNew Scout1.8KViews12likes32CommentsSick and tired of glitches and computers not doing anything.
Players skating around like they're having an epileptic seizure (I have epilepsy, so don't think for a second I'm making fun of people with it) or LTing. You cover your opponent and pinch them along the boards. Only for your computer to skate up to them and do nothing. No stick check. No body check. Nothing. So they pass the puck along the boards to the blue line to try and set up one timers. I set my strategies to tight point and staggered. I'm covering the passing lane and pinch my opponent again. What happens? My computer again comes close to take the puck away with me. No stick check, no body check. Nothing. It's like a flip a coin simulator to see if your team performs at all. Some games your players forecheck, body check, stick check, intercept passes. The next game. Nothing. You literally have to switch players constantly and do everything on your own because your computers are useless. There is ZERO consistency in the game. It doesn't matter if you're playing HUT, WoC, Online Versus. The computer is useless. You'll send your forwards to leave the zone early to get a two on one situation. Good idea, right? Nope. You have the two on one and 1 of 6 things will happen. Your winger will skate to the blueline slow down and curl off for no reason. Your winger will stop up at the hash marks and curl away for no reason. Your winger will set up for the one timer but hold on to the puck for just enough time for your opponent's goalie to get into position THEN shoot. Your winger won't be in position and will follow you to the same side for no reason. Your winger will completely over skate the play and end up behind the net and miss the one timer completely. Your winger will be in position and score a one timer. The defensive side of things can be quite similar. You want to protect a lead? Set up the NZT? Your computer will collapse into the NZ. When your opponent gets their breakout pass. Your computer dman won't pinch the player. They will skate towards the middle of the ice and your opponent easily blows past them. That has been a problem for YEARS. Some games it works but when it's a 1 goal game and I have 30-9 shots on net versus my opponent. Don't count on your computer to make any clutch plays. And before you try to break down what I'm doing wrong. I can assure you I don't make many mistakes. I understand the game mechanics and how people take advantage of them to pull of cheesy wins. When I am forced to move like figure skater Yuna Kim and use the same boring backhand / forehand goal every time to beat the goalie. It gets old, real quick. But when I deke around my opponent and toe drag short side or shoot through screens. Their goalie plays like a they've just won a Vezina trophy. This is constructive criticism but it seems over the past few years. It's fallen on deaf ears and it's extremely disappointing. We don't expect perfection, we expect consistency.NIHILISTWOLFE293 days agoSeasoned Veteran326Views5likes13CommentsRequest for NHL27 BAP
Not sure if suggestions from here make it to the product team. Lots of good feedback in this forum for the next release. However, there is one thing I’ve not seen mentioned that I would really really like to see. Namely, when I create a Center in BAP, I would like to play Center position. Not sure if there is some philosophic or programmatic reason this does not exist already. Depending on who you get drafted by, you could go years before your overall score is high enough to play 1C. One suggested way to implement this is give me the option to choose 2C over 1LW or 1RW. Or even choose to be 3C ..etc.. Regardless of how you build it, just let me play the position I want. :)zorryn3 days agoNew Scout44Views2likes1CommentICE-Q is the biggest NHL degradation ever seen in sports games.
SVP.big_bruins3 days agoSeasoned Newcomer51Views1like1CommentSkating feels slower...
Does anyone else feel like skating feels much slower than it used to just a few updates ago? I am playing Online Versus quite a lot and took a break for a couple weeks. When I returned to the games I came to realize that my players don't accelerate as fast as they used to before. I feel like the tempo overall is much slower and it just doesn't feel as fun anymore to play. I really enjoy playing on a highly intense level and it just seems impossible anymore. Skating feels heavy and I can't really counter attack anymore on a high pace. Am I going crazy or did they slow down the gameplay?mrgamingboycool4 days agoSeasoned Newcomer104Views2likes3CommentsFeature Request: Build Comparison when editing loadouts
Found that after doing a bit of editing, sometimes I like to see the before and after for a build. Currently, this is a manual process, of leave one build, loading up the other, see the changes in stats, to make a decision on whether it is better or not. Any way to compare one build to another build? If EA does open up the advanced stats, like slapshot mph, could be shown along with the changes. You see that your puck moving defenseman, does better that your defensive defenseman, load up the other build in the build comparison screen, see the difference. If you can edit the source build, even better in the screen. Not sure of the want for this feature, but something I was thinking of when fine tuning builds. Currently, I would have to screen capture 5 screens or write 5 screens of stats down for the final comparison. Or note and remember the stats adjusted, depending on how far the build is adjusted, that can be difficult. Extra later addons could include comparing your build to your friends build, if allowed. That would be really sick and a feature many would enjoy.AgentHammer4 days agoNew Traveler23Views0likes0CommentsPractice with your “BE A PRO CAREER” why isn’t this a basic kind of feature?
I just don’t understand why this isn’t a basic feature in the game. This is the first sports game I’ve probably played in over 16 years. I played sports when I was younger but I’m not really a “sports guy”. But I’ve always enjoyed hockey the most. knowing that EA has made a bunch of hockey games. I decided to download and play NHL 26. I found I could create a pro being a first time player. Liking the fact I could learn the game and also the “full on rules” of hockey. While playing with just one person instead of controlling an entire team like I first jumped into. but wanting to practice with my create a character before the next game to get a better understanding of how everything works with with my controls and my players skill stats I can’t. if it wasn’t for my ADD I probably would of dropped the game but I wanted something new and different I’ve learned now what I needed to. but It would still be 100% AWESOME to practice with my Be a Pro character P.S. I’ve only been playing a week so far on rookie and learned a lot but it took extra patience I believe97Views2likes8Comments
