Not gonna lieEA_Aljo the play now play is super game same with hut if the add the same stuff to world of chel it would be so good of a game ypu can actually snipe and pass and move well on vs and hut but world of chel it would is just clunky you can’t really snipe anywhere like you can in other modes or pass and cycle as wellmr2929t64wm44 hours agoRising Novice8Views0likes0CommentsIssues with the AI "balance"
The in-game AI feels as though its consistently manipulating gameplay in ways that break immersion and fairness, tilting matches in its own favor. Instead of providing a fair challenge, these behaviors create frustration by undermining player skill and consistency. Including various behaviours such as; AI defenders frequently engage in consecutive shoves that escalate into clear cross checks, yet no penalties are ever really called—even when these actions could not be anymore exact on what the rule is for(cross checking and tripping are the seemingly most egregious offenders, countless times a poke has tripped me on or close to a breakaway and no call, let alone a penalty shot like it should be). Defensive AI recover far more quickly from contact than human players unless laid right out, and are seldom slowed down by actions that would impede a user-controlled skater or cause them to stumble in similar situations. AI opponents display abnormal, nearly instant acceleration to cut off problematic movement or passing lanes deemed severe threats, with no reliable warning or visible pattern for when this will occur. The AI abuses movement priority, intentionally maneuvering to block or mirror player movement, often actively bodying into and shadowing the user in ways that feel unnatural and excessively obstructive. Light shoves from opponents reliably knock the player off the puck or stun them, while forceful contact from the player has little impact on the AI under similar circumstances. None of these behaviors “make the game harder” in a skillful way—the AI shifts in responsiveness or aggression with no consistent logic, making its actions not necessarily "unpredictable", but "enough to predictably ignore various methods to strip them of posession The AI’s skating logic is especially problematic: CPU players will suddenly skate full tilt directly into walls, abruptly hard-stop, then accelerate backwards with the same momentum they hit the wall with, especially when the user gains control of a nearby defender. Attempting to mix up defensive or offensive approaches—including feints and direction changes—has very little effect, as the AI matches every movement in perfect unison regardless of pattern or number of changes. The AI’s skating agility while moving backwards seemingly suffers no penalty, letting it perfectly maintain gap control and mimic player actions from optimal distance with no visible disadvantage. Lunging the opportunity a player makes a move or crosses an arbitrary threshold Rather than introducing fair errors or realistic unpredictability, the AI “compensates” for its rare mistakes by inconsistently draining player stamina or otherwise handicapping the user, which feels arbitrary and unnecessarily punishing or frustrating. AI contact often feels as if players are treated like + and - magnets; whether or not “magnetic” attraction results in a successful hit or separation is determined by the AI’s arbitrary decision of what constitutes an acceptable collision. Heavy hits rarely result in lost possession and sometimes several defenders are needed to stop a puck carrier, with possession conveniently transferring to nearby AI attackers afterward. Puck battles in crowded areas seldom feel authentic—instead, entering a scrum typically means unsuccessfully trying to shove opponents out of the way or waiting for a player to locate the puck in his feet and get a stick on it. Predictably, the nearby AI immediately anticipates this and your stick gets lifted immediately. While opponent AI routinely uses logical man-to-man defensive systems, AI teammates on the user’s side routinely fail to provide this same support, especially during HUT Challenges; defenders instead allow attackers to breeze past them repeatedly with little to no attempt at coverage or resistance. A fair and sensible experience would involve AI behaviors that align with realistic hockey dynamics and give an equitable sense competition, without having to erode a level playing field. Physical contact should consistently impact puck possession and player stability regardless of which side initiates it and if minor shoves carry stun/slow effects on them, they should apply both ways, with both AI and human players equally vulnerable to momentum shifts, mistakes, and recoveries. Defensive AI should properly execute man-to-man coverage as an option for both teams that provide support and prevents attackers from repeatedly breaking through uncontested. Player skill and strategic variations—such as feints, positioning, and timing—should meaningfully influence gameplay outcomes, rather than the AI reacting with robotic precision or arbitrary stamina penalties. Overall, success should feel earned through authentic effort and less "luck based" feats, predictable hockey logic that rewards anticipation, smart decision-making, and adaptability, making gameplay challenging but transparent.NBLSXSopeX7 hours agoRising Rookie10Views0likes0CommentsEvery 6's WoC is 3 GAA and 75 S%
Why is the offense so highly tuned? How is this ok? Pucks will MAGICALLY find a way in to inflate goals. Goalie pads hovering above the ice Goalie opening 5 hole for no one reason Puck hits you and trickles in Kick juice rebounds to the enemy Why? How is this ok? Can we please get some sort of balance to nerf the offense or buff the defensive side of the puck? At this rate every WOC game will be 3 F and AI D/G because no one will want to play that side of the ice.27Views2likes2CommentsWhat is Form Score and how does one maintain it?
I have a basic understanding of the game of Hockey, the team that score the most goals wins, this however does not seem to have much bearing on the mysterious Form Score. Would you be so kind as to explain to us who paid $70+ for what we thought was a hockey game "What is Form Score and how does one maintain it? bonus question: Why is Form Score more important than scoring goals and winning games?tnic739 hours agoRising Scout78Views1like4CommentsCant find Matvei Gridin in Nhl 2026

PS5, NHL26, Be A Pro. (I use a 50/50 Dual sense Edge controller with default settings and a Regular controller. I play with one while the other charges the battery). The AI makes too many slap shots vs. wrist shots. The AI doesn't take penalties except very rarely when I'm on the ice. AI: "magnetic" opponent, i.e. AI player comes to your back and follow to you like magnet, in real life the opponent tries to come in front to pick up your stick or push the puck away/ hit, which means you have to give up the puck (on real life players skating between own goal and puck for defensive). So now I can spin around with the puck for an hour without doing anything else... When your player loses/gives away/whatever the puck, the AI will tackle you behind without a second thought (no penalty). This creates a counterattack that ends in a wild slapshot (not a wrist shot) between the p-spots or just before and this means wild stick lifting - rebound case and it goes in the net 99% of the time. This "forced AI goal" should have been abandoned a long time (many, many NHL) ago... But not. Tackling is absolutely crazy, players fly many meters in the air when tackled. I myself am 173cm/72kg in be a pro and tackle Tom Wilson through the wing or 10 meters to the side of where he is. This never happens in real life. The circle tackle button (which I call the cheating button, because that's what it is, because it makes unreal and physics-defying movements) also has a delay, so you have to press it many times before anything happens. Sometimes it's the other way around, so Wilson tackles 2-3 of my players without even getting a chance, the players practically fly many meters at the same time and it looks like they're getting hit by a car or every bone is broken. This is not realistic. Kickoffs. Sometimes you have to press the right stick to down 3-4 seconds early on the controller for the timing to work, sometimes it is even predetermined that the opponent will take the kickoff and the player's control has no effect. Sometimes you don't even have time to take the kickoff position when the puck is already with the opponent's defender. Often your own player doesn't do anything on the kickoff that I tell him to do with the controller, he freezes completely, this is really painful. Lifting the stick does not happen all at once, you have to press the X button many times or hold it down for a long time for the be a pro character to do anything with his stick, far too often the player makes his move late. The same thing happens with the R1 button, with the difference that the player on the ice takes the stick sideways in front of him, i.e. does not push the stick forward. The stick does come out but with a long delay, at least 2 seconds after pressing the button and then it is already too late. Acceleration, or L3, also has a delay, it is at least a second in the direction of attack and two downwards. By this I don't mean starting from a place, but accelerating from normal skating. Like controller vs. player reactions have delay... The R and R3 buttons work fine, nothing wrong. There has been suspicion of lag in the controller, even friends have come to say that there is none. This is not the case in other games. And this is not the case in the PS4 version of NHL games (I last tried NHL20). Could these problems be caused by FPS lag? Really annoying that the player is no longer doing what I tell him to do with the controller. Slider. Player Attribute Effects - For some reason the slider only changes players skills on my team, my team won the regular season and the Stanley Cup with a score of 8/10 when it is normally 5/10 and because of that I barely win games. So, I didn't do everything but the team did, I was even injured for 23 games of the season. Now I've played my second season with a score of 5/10 and it really feels like the superpowers are gone from my team (and me). The reason I change this value is because I want the players to actually play at their level, but it seems like only the players on my team are playing like superstars and winning everything. AI shorthanded. AI attacks shorthanded, puts everything into a 3 vs. 5 game and even leads at the end of the third period. This situation usually starts with the AI defensemen taking the puck and going all the way to my goal (not even trying to clear the puck from their own zone despite the pressure) without caring that I am standing on their blue line and waiting for the pass in peace. In short: AI plays shorthanded for powerplay strategy, but still manages to clear the puck from their own zone on rare occasions. This is suicidal hockey that you don't see in real life. Statistics. In statistics, tackles are always top 15-top20 players of your own team and they are players who don't even play a physical game in real life. So the computer doesn't tackle in its games nearly as much as I do. That explains why only 2-3 players take over 100 minutes of penalties per season, it's also really unrealistic. A very big plus for EA for other statistics, they are almost comparable to the real life NHL league, even the powerplay % corresponds to reality. Stats nerd likes it! :) The points scored by the players are also close, except that last season McDavid scored 60 points in 82 games and Ovie 90 (45+45). Penalty minutes are the only thing that is much wrong. (i use much google translator so im sorry if some word is wrong).25Views0likes1Commentreverse hitting, wheels, truculence and auto avoidance need major nerf
Or outright removal Reverse hitting can be spammed and you can charge at someone and reverse hit them and all theyre doing is skating backwards. Wheels- pretty much a must have so just get rid of it Truculence- creates a crazy imbalance of player builds. My 5'8 sniper with 76 hitting shouldnt knock down a 6'3 220 pound dude every time. Auto avoidance- creates an unearned speed boost because we have people who dont know how to move their left stick right or left The diversity of builds and play high gold and above is all the samejimfromfiles11 hours agoSeasoned Novice103Views0likes2CommentsBe a pro penalties sliders
We all know that be a pro has this lack of penalties glitch and it’s been brutal. Today played one game and something when I just tuned broken stick frequency a bit, suddenly there was five different type of penalties handed in one game! All were taken by AI/cpu players. Seems to me that something is on wrong place with sliders, and somehow changing broken stick freq 50 to 65 suddenly did big changes to the penalties! Note: I have cpu penalties settings set up 100/100 and how much penalties given to 4/4. Something is very weirdly wrong with sliders in be a pro! Solutions needed!EA_Aljorefined9811 hours agoNew Vanguard103Views0likes13CommentsBe a Pro Coach strategy
As you can see, I'm all alone waiting for a free puck up there on the powerplay, the AI opponent is attacking like a crazy for shorthanded without caring about their own goal, can anything be done about this? I can't access team tactics in be a pro... Can EA do something?21Views0likes1CommentNo longer need to deke in '26
I've only played 4 games so far but I noticed on about 80% of the goals that were scored (playing 3's so there were tons), the player just shot the puck without doing anything. As you can see in the video, I was given a perfect opportunity to test my theory and noticed that, while goalies seem to be slightly better on curls, they are way worse on 5 hole when your player is able to get within extreme range. Shot attributes, stick handedness, xfactors, they all don't seem to affect this after further testing. Also, thanks for letting me know my friend, whom I'm literally playing the game with and in a chat party together, is online... I keep trying to tweak my settings for these annoying popups and nothing works.43Views0likes3CommentsSo there's been updates, but haven't fixed the most glaring issues. When?
Two updates and you haven't fixed any of the HUGE issues everyone is complaining about: 1 - Poke Checking is broken (opposing players skate with impunity, and even if they are successfully poked, 90% of the time they get immediate possession back.) 2 - Wheels (absolutely ludicrous, turns the game into an arcade fest. Coupled with a passer with "Send It", game resembles nothing like the sport) 3 - Truculence (if the hitting couldn't be over-the-top enough, let's add in a boost that makes it even more ludicrous AND let's not call any interference, charging, or roughing penalties) 4 - Stick Lifts (in real life, when you pop a player's stick up, that means your stick is now closest to the puck. In EA NHL 26, you just take yourself out of the play so the offense can get the puck immediately back) 5 - Goalies (in some respects, there are improvements. This is a difficult thing to get balanced right so I almost didn't put it on this list. But, overall, they seem more sieve-like this year than last year.) At least in NHL 25, if you were the more skilled, disciplined, and organized team, you were winning 90% of your games. NHL 26 rewards incompetence, carelessness, and mediocrity. FIX. THE. Can we get a few more stand build variations? Bring back the hitting sniper? Another playmaker style? Just picked up inferno and I want my money back. Was hoping he be a good DD. He can't keep up slower than balls like the standard dd. I definitely do not recommend buying him. Jack is ok for 6s. Missing Players
Is there a reason why it always takes awhile for the official roster to add Russian Free agents like Maxim Shabanov (NYI). I’ve noticed that it happens every year with Russian players is there a specific reason because he’s played in preseason games and has been signed for awhile.11Views0likes0CommentsRoster Update Schedule
Well I updated this morning expecting the update to include a roster update since the rosters had to be set for the season by 5pm ET yesterday. Alas, the update for the game was only for some bugs in online play. The rosters have not been updated since 9/25/25. So my question is when will the rosters get updated and what is the plan going forward to keep the rosters updated throughout the year. An AI assistant answer said that twice a month there should be roster updates but I can't find the source for that info.Juvenlast15 hours agoSeasoned Newcomer344Views1like9CommentsWhat happens when you finally beat form score and get promoted

What is form score and why does it outweigh goal scoring and winning games? For what reason would a coach demote their leading goal scorer? What does this form score nonsense have anything to do with real hockey? This doesn't even get into the fact that the AI is completely backwards. Your AI teammates are working as soft opposition in this game. Constantly hiding behind checks and only passing at the least opportune moment. The game mode was bad, Ea has gone in and turn bad into utterly unplayable. Are they aware of this? Are they busy patting themselves on the back for actually doing something to realize what they have done is a disaster?tnic7316 hours agoRising Scout378Views6likes17CommentsFIX THE HDR
