Continued player skating around with no energy
How is it possible to be attacking my own skating around with great speed and your player is red energy, but you should still outpace a 95 point makes no sense cause when my players get red they can’t even skate around a circle let alone stick handle and pass the puck Then my McDavid was half green skated from the offensive blue line to be an icing to the end of the board and by the time he makes it to the end of the board, he is completely wiped out with no power Makes no sense how power works when you’re supposed to be red means you’re dying or your player has no energy left, but this is not the case because this watched makar getting around my end for an extended period at a time red, but lost no power!!!
Inactive opponent detection needed in NHL 26 online matches
Sometimes opponents stay completely inactive for the entire game. Since online matches last about 15 minutes (3 x 5-minute periods), the active player is forced to waste that time playing alone. Leaving the match is not a good option because it results in a DNF and affects stats. In EA SPORTS FC, inactivity is detected and the match ends automatically, awarding the win to the active player. Why doesn’t NHL have a similar inactivity detection system? This would greatly improve the online experience.NHL 27 Wishlist
So I throw this out there every year, and sometimes maybe someone reads it and an update gets made (I was throwing out the idea of ‘Who They Pass the Cup To Next’ for years, and they finally added it! I know, it wasn’t me, but it felt like a win) First Off, Things They've Added That I Love: (short list, but still) Getting to pick who the Captain hands the Cup to. Hugely significant in real life, and now you get to see lifelong favorite players virtually hoist the Cup. Secondly, post-goal leader boards updated mid-game. A fun add-on I didn't even know I wanted until it was there. Thirdly, showing the names engraved on the Cup. Was literally 'wowed' the first time I saw it, looks authentic down tot he old-timey font. Next, Things They Need to Get Rid Of (That They Added And No One Asked For): Grudge Matches. Okay. Fun little intro showing everyone squaring off like Monday night wrestling, and then...done? Nope. Every two goals you score, they show the opposition coach 'reacting.' And you can't click through it, you actually have to pause, then resume (and risk crashing, on my dinky little Xbox S…don’t get me started on that), just to avoid watching the 10 seconds of animated theatrics from a coach you couldn't care less about. They finally got rid of this in Madden, let's do the same in NHL (or at least let us click through it like we can with goal celebrations). Then there's this new 'D-Man dragging the line' when the puck drops back to him in the O-Zone. The game taking over a player I should have control of? No thanks! Oh, you MUST want this player to go right along the blue line, or why else would you have-...I'll take it from here, EA! That's why I give you ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS every year. Make it so. And enough with the posts. I counted my players hitting the post 4 times in 5 minutes, then watched my sad-sack Flyers 'irl' hit the post once in a full period. All this so the 'announce team' can scream unrealistically (and that's why I mute them). And I thought me setting the game to Manual Line Changes meant I would, you know, manually ‘change the lines,’ only to have the game be like, “They look tired, here, let me-” No thanks, I got it. They make millions of (virtual) dollars, they can suck it up and get back to work. I have to force an offsides just to get the guys I want back out there. And finally, the Wishlist: Player Editing: We should be able to edit CPU-created players in Franchise Mode. Especially now that they've blocked being able to change Player Roles or Position. In Madden (apples and oranges, I know), you can edit names, faces, potential, even ages. Complete Control, should you want it. In NHL, you luck out with a draft pick who's a Medium-Elite at 18, but his potential is an Elite 'Grinder'? What even is that? And too often they have these goofy hairdos or are 19 and grey already, or you wind up with three draft prospects that have the same default face. Oh, but you can change his skate-lace color? And if a player is a First Position LW, and you move him to the RW for a game, when you win the face-off, he skates all the way across the ice to get back on the LW (who does that?). We should at least have the same edit access that we do at the Main Menu level (add a Second Position, change a Playmaker to a Two-Way as they age). The Draft: I still don’t get why we can’t just see players’ ratings like you can in the Main Menu’s Rosters section. So before you start a Mode, you can see that a Junior player is a 62 Medium-Top 6, but on Draft Day it’s a bunch of question marks or a “Possible” Top 6? Then as soon as you select him, he's a Low-Top 9, rated 58 Overall. Thanks. You can see exact ratings in Free Agency, why not on draft day? I turn off Fog of War for this reason, it should extend to draft picks. I love that we got Career Totals back, and that they added Team Abbreviations as to where they played, but can't that be added for AHL stats as well? I know they keep track of them, as they show when they’re on the bench after milestones, so why not a running total? I'll get 10 years into Franchise Mode and some career AHLers will retire and nothing. You play 1,000 AHL Games…that’s something. Ability to decide awards: Too often, in Franchise Mode, if you’re playing your best players to pad stats, you’ll win the Hart or Norris every year, even though another player would be the obvious choice. It would be great to decide winners so that the highest scoring defenseman doesn’t win the Norris every year, or the Hart going hand-in-hand with the Art Ross more often than not, or Connor McDavid winning the Selke based on whatever algorithm they’re using. Franchise (Owner) Mode used to have a screen that displayed your team’s seasons, so you could see your history: 103 Points, Third Round; 98 Points, Lost Final; etc. I’d like to see that back. Winter Classic: I miss the Winter Classic venue they created a few years back. You could only play a single game, but wouldn't it be awesome if the team you select in Franchise Mode got to play the Winter Classic every year? Just make it the first game you play in January and you get that outdoor setting with weather selections like they have in Madden, or just default cloudy skies with flurries. They used to have the All-Star Game jammed in there, so can't they just use that same approach for the Classic? When you're simming between games and it alerts you that an injured player is available, you have the option to skip for the moment and not address the lineup. But when its 'multiple' players returning, there's no skip and you're forced to go into Edit Roster. Sometimes there's still 3-4 days left before the next game and a chance for other players to return. You should be able to skip that as well and address it when you want. Anyway, maybe the CEO will read this and realize all my genius suggestions, but most likely we’ll just get NHL 27 with different Main Menu colors.Got A L For A Game I Won in OT2
Played HUT a couple days ago. I matched with a PSN player and we got to OT2. I noticed my game was dropping frames like crazy although speeds stayed green and ping was 18ms. As for speeds on internet it’s 300mbps download and 59.86mbps upload with 27 latency. I was faster skating and he couldn’t score. Mostly just turned back into his own zone to reset but couldn’t get past the red line. Game was 0-0 going to OT2. I scored on a Slap shot form Ekholms ability and won. After the game I looked at statistic showed I took the loss. So I check his record and all his latest Wins are DNF with the time stat being 00:00… this seems odd to me and I have reported his gamertag. He was well known for cheating when I was on his WXCHL team in playoffs and reason we lost during that era. I’m just upset he got the win for a game he shouldn’t have. Next player he played same scenario and it was witnessed on his stream.General Feedback
I doubt any devs see this, but the HUT on this game is so close to being perfect, but the absolute abysmal marketing and packs not fitting the power curve hurt this game. No hints on the official Twitter and no place to see official game changes. On similar UT games like MLB the Show and Madden UT they announced/tease new collections the week of and show one or more players that are coming out. Also with these games, they probably address the power curve by adjusting the pack odds accordingly. There’s no reason with 92-94s being released that there’s still 77-79 players that have no use in sets to be common to pull in packs. This season is coming to a close and the end stage XP path reward is a 84+ pack. Speaking of packs, why isn’t pack probabilities properly showed unless your buying from the shop (which is a very slim minority of where players get packs). Every other UT game mode shows pack odds no matter where you get the pack from. If EA actually cared about their NHL fan base they’d implement these changes but since they only care about their share price these changes will never see the light of day unless the consumers stop paying for coins.Can we please have real hockey?
LT through the zone, force the cross crease... get rewarded? Are we ever going to focus on defense and goaltending? How is this any expression of skill? 1. Hold LT, not losing speed, and guys just bouncing off you 2. Press RT and Left, not having to worry about skates, sticks, or defensemen 3. Hold up on the RS 4. Celebrate Tell me, how is that good hockey? Meanwhile, defensemen watch pucks go between their skates. Goalies have pucks hit them in the chest and bounce down and in. Why is the offense constantly rewarded, and D and Goalies have to battle uphill to even be competent? Please spend some time of the defensive side of the ice and balance your game out.
A few suggestions?
Would anybody else benefit from these? Not knowing all the players of the NHL and other leagues while opening packs, it would be cool to see a log of the packs opened and rewards received in one place. It would be kind of neat to be able to sort your cards in "My Collection", not just by OVR, or maybe recently or maybe even by set like Trade Quest, then XP, etc. something more overview-like. Take a peek at the NHL hutbuilder website. The organization of sets seems like it could stand and improvement. If I put cards into a set, like S1 Captains, I may forget and wonder where the cards are. Like displaying what sets have cards in them displayed across the top of the main page? I have more but I'll let you start there, thanks, put the team right on it! :) Will
Cup Chase.
Why hasnt EA let the extra XP seasons levels extend to no limit, instead of stopping it at what its at now. You finish the extra levels and you are left with nothing to play for. With a # of days before the next season starts. Its not like they are being over abundant with those 84 cards they dish out. It also makes the weeks objectives useless. Since they have nothing to be applied to. 730000 is the max right now. 10 days left. And zilch to play for. Very ill thought out.
SBM fix
specifically for WoC and during club finals, skill based matchmaking should solely be based off your badge rank. My buddies and I are diamond 2’s and 1’s, realistically we should be playing diamond’s/gold’s. Elite’s should only be playing elite’s or close to it. If you want to make this game somewhat enjoyable, make elite’s only play elite’s or else it’s you and your buddies vs kids who hop on to only abuse the poor physics this game has. Those type of players make this game unenjoyable. Just had a guy do no move whatsoever and score beauty backhand from the slot. Simply just shot it and our goalie couldn’t stop a beach ball if he tried. Get people in the development team who know how to fix skill based matchmaking and know how actual hockey works. Not to mention you could win 9-0 and get 80 RP, but lose 3-2 in 2OT and lose 600+ RP. Make it make sense? Fix SBM and do it like I said how it should be done, and I promise you guys get a better community. It is NOT a hard concept.NHL26 matchmaking region restricted?
Hi guys, normally never playing CHEL. My last time was like 2022 or something. Now living in India, so my region is Asia-Pacific. While I connect to some games in HUT, I was not able to find any matchmaking today for CHEL mode at all (doesnt matter if 3v3, ones, threes, whatever). Is NHL26 matchmaking region restricted? Or is it just because there is barely anyone playing NHL26 at the moment and it could be better in a week when the normal version is published? Cheers!No Exact Match in WOC... LOL

CHEL IS WAY TOO GLITCHY
Is anyone else having severe issues playing CHEL? Examples being; can’t cancel a search, lagging out mid game, not being able to check or poke, or feeling like your guy is sluggish or “stuck in mud”? EA needs to fix this…immediately. I have heard so many people state they are done with this game and I’m on the verge of being one of them. Any time me or anyone in my club attempts to change or alter our jerseys/arena we receive a connection error that exits you to the Home Screen. This has been going on for over a month now and all the progress with collections is now essentially useless since we can’t change anything. Error code is dfefb006ab1c0954-0000000000009999-43caf82f82fb583fdfd which is failure to retrieve data; please try again later. Like I said this has been going on for over a month now with no fix and makes the money spent on the game feel like a waste.Eashl is terrible
I’m so done with this stupid game, we outplay teams game after game yet these stupid ai goalies turn into absolute idiots for our team, yet they want to make the craziest save I’ve ever seen when we’re shooting on them. We have played countless games where we double/ triple teams time on attack and shots yet when they take a muffin from the point it’s an auto goal. Don’t even get me started on this stupid L2 bs as well, so done with this stupid game and what they’ve done to it. Isn’t even hockey at this point and is a complete joke.
