NHL 27 PLAYER CUSTOMIZATION & CREATION
EA_Aljo Please read this and pass it along🙏🏻. Now that it’s being discussed to push ideas for NHL 27 (even though we’re probably too late, so I hope you’ve already thought about this). PLAYER CUSTOMIZATION & CREATION I’m very grateful for the work done with face scans over the past year, more of that would definitely be appreciated. but one thing that is still far below acceptable standards and really needs updating is the options and variety for both player customization and creation. Creating players using only preset generic faces feels extremely outdated. We need more options and choices than just 5 eyebrow styles and eye colors. Like Madden and FC, we need full face modification. Creating players in today’s NHL is honestly really boring, especially younger players, for example, if you want them to be drafted a few years later in Franchise mode. We need more options! I’m fully aware that we can’t get face scans for everyone, especially in lower leagues and junior leagues, but this would remove a lot of the disappointment and make things much easier. ALSO, we need the option to edit already assigned generic faces for players, for example Oliver Moore, being able to change hairstyle, hair color, and modify the face itself. That would make everything much easier for both you and us. For 96% of players with a generic face, it doesn’t match them at all. There can be players of fully Asian background who are given a face that doesn’t resemble them whatsoever. ALSO, let us edit more than just beards for players with face scans. I’ve noticed with your new AI technology that some players end up with very wide, oversized heads and helmets that don’t fit properly (for example Alexander Holtz), and a lot of these face scans look a little off. The option to adjust things like head width and other facial features, like in Madden and FC, would eliminate this problem, with editing options, players could at least fix that themselves. At the very least, being able to change hairstyles would be incredibly valuable. For example, Shane Pinto (attached) would need an update, this would save you from constantly needing to update players and from receiving endless requests for updates. Hockey guys change hairstyles as often as they change underwear. Something else I’ve noticed is that AI-scanned faces often have helmets that are way too big. A lot of players have oversized helmets, and it looks ridiculous. We need more options to edit equipment, especially helmet size, so people can fix it themselves if it bothers them (and it really does bother people a lot). A mode like Franchise Mode would get a whole new life from this. Being able to edit faces, hairstyles, and equipment during a season, things like helmet sizes and sticks (color, graphics, patterns), and even having the option for spraypaint on the end of the stick like many players use, would make a huge difference. This issue with helmets is something that absolutely must be fixed. This should not still be a problem in 2026. I really hope you pass this forward! Thanks!🙏🏻🙏🏻Active Players.
I remember back in the day, you used to be able to see all the active players in whatever online game mode you were playing? Why did EA take that out? I woooonder when they and going to bring it back as a revamped feature? 🤣. Sitting wait 20mins to play a match of chel. Sometimes hours just to play a few. So annoying 😑NHL 26 - the worst version of the game ever!!!
Developers, do you care about players at all? Stop thinking about how to make more money. Players leave this game en masse, e-sportsmen get bored, because the game has turned into the same type of matches. Make new mechanics, work on the gameplay, don't try to earn all the money in this world! Your studios are already closing one by one. Soon the one that does the NHL will close, because there will be no players. It's a pity that you brought the game to the point that no one wants to play it. Please quit It's a pity that I spent money on this garbage, I won't repeat such a mistake again
Boss teams once a week!
a mode i like to see is some type of boss mode where it is a weekly challenge and it will cost you coins to play it and every time you lose it will cost you more coins to try again and you will only get so many tries! if the boss team wins the person who put it in gets a reward or coins or something! and if you beat it first try you get a great reward but the more you lose and have to retry your reward goes down each try! have EA make the team or have people put there team in and ea takes the best team for that week or something like that? i think it would be a fun mode and something extra to play besides the same old boring modes especially for single players! maybe have people have to put a card on there team up to lose if they lose or if they win they can pick a card off the boss team? have some type of quick fun mode besides cup champs or wildcard or moments!

Just make the game match what we are actually watching. If a guy is playing top minutes, top lines,starting in net, or putting up significant stats he should not still have a generic face, especially if EA already has a scan or he is a veteran. things in cup chase i like to see, more options for how long a season is, maybe something like 15, 25, 50? option for continue ot or shootouts! have the announcers act different from regular season and playoffs, also for the moments with like last second goals or important goals, fights, injuries, great saves, have streaks matter, like how many wins in a row, shutouts, power play goals and penalty kills, fights won, how many times you won the cup, maybe show a banner with the cup wins! get extra bonus for scoring 10 plus goals, knocking out starting goalie and putting back up in, bonus for last second goals for a win or tie a game up especially for a playoff game! have the computer act differently for a playoff or regular season game! have options to scout teams, show scores of other games going on, give a bonus for not changing your team during season sticking with the same players through the entire season! hopefully there have been some tweaks to make it more fun!

Video of poor CPU positioning This is in regards to my previous post that was locked. Sick and tired of glitches and computers not doing anything. | EA Forums - 13399328 Hopefully this is resolved in NHL 27. It is why I barely bothered to score post cross creasers or one timers. My computers would be in awful positions. This is purely just for examples as I've been asked to provide video in the past. So, I took the time to compile plenty of footage to back up my claims.
Syncing, a cheat method?
I just played a game where I was doing pretty good. Play a team tied 2 to 2. Going to the third period and suddenly I can’t move, my team can’t pass, I can’t even skate. There’s an absolute delay in my players….. The other players skating run in the circles suddenly becoming a 91 team is playing with 98 speed!!! I lose the game 5 to 2 but the problem I have is a screen during the start of flashing syncing!!! I’ve seen this multiple times in the last month, and 80% of the time, I lose that game…. When I’m either winning or tied and then I am out I can’t do anything with it.Instant lag
Playing and suddenly my left joystick feels like I’m pushing against vibration that the players won’t move….. suddenly nothing is happening correctly. Can’t do anything even though I’m winning the game..,, 2 to1 I lose this game 5 to 2….. only did my men start moving in the last 20 seconds of the game I’m suspicious of a player , who was under 500 in his last 50 games, but suddenly can win 11 in a row…., Don’t care what people say there is intentional cheating in this game!!!NHL Game Presentation
I’ve been a long time player and I’ve always thought there should be banner hangings and ring presentations following a year when you win the cup. Also, an option to retire a number for your team if a legend retires and deserves it. Is this something that could be added in to the game?
World of Error: Lobby Crashing Simulator
Disgusting how many errors are in this mode atm.... Literally takes 15-20 min of constant crashing before you can even get into a game! Devs should be ashamed of themselves for putting out a product that is so poor (World of Chel is what i am talking about). I know this has been said a billion times over but i just needed to vent!
NHL 27 Connected Franchise asymmetric team control
Will NHL 27’s Connected Franchise support asymmetric team control? What I mean is: I manage Minnesota and my dad manages Colorado, but when I play Minnesota vs New York, my dad can take control of New York. And when my dad plays Colorado vs Dallas, I can take control of Dallas. Will there be a feature that allows players in the same Connected Franchise to manually take over CPU‑controlled opponent teams in each other’s games? Also, any chance it will be available from 2 players only? I've been waiting to play online franchise with my dad for ages now. We live in different countries with no chance to see each other on daily basis and we just wish to finally play with each other a regular season online. Thank you 💚
