I don't think anyone is "acting like there isn't a problem", there's just a spectrum of human thought and emotion behind every post on the board, and even behind every decision that goes into making the game. Dude is just telling you you can still play and win (which you can), you just might have to make some changes right now.
Some people want a hardcore, true-to-life hockey sim where you have to go back to the bench between plays and drink or you'll get dehydrated. That's how you end up with attempts at programming intangible things like emotion and energy, which I understand, because I love the game of hockey and the things it represents in my mind based on my background and the things I saw and did growing up. That said, in my opinion artificial "emotion/momentum" hasn't been great for the series. Other people want to get on after work, push up on the stick and win games for dopamine, which I understand because I like winning, but that pretty obviously isn't going to be great for the series either. Kids play this. Adults with jobs play this. Guys who used to play professionally play this, apparently. There are ostensibly thousands of voices telling the big bad faceless EA to "make a better game". My dudes, it's a team of like 11 guys with a limited amount of time and money, and it doesn't matter if you think it should be that way, because it is. It doesn't matter if you think EA should give them more of a budget or more team members to work on the game, because they won't, and if any of those things happen, it won't be because of fifty people who post on a board moderated by one poor guy that just gets abused nonstop. Lol.
Look, I believe they make a game they feel good about, and honestly that game continues to sell and people continue to play it. They aren't sitting around conspiring about how they can ruin the game of hockey. They have to innovate, and even if they do half the crowd says it's the same game as last year with a roster update, and the other side says all the changes they made suck and should be reverted. They can't make a totally new game in a year. They tried in 2015 and the community revolted because the game wasn't finished on time. The community manager has to try and keep peace on a forum where half the posts are "game sucks" and the other half are people fighting about whether it sucks or not. Lol. I'm not a shill. I was so irritated and frustrated last night that I was ready to uninstall. Then I centered myself and remembered that this is a video game. Some things about the game suck. Some things feel pretty good. They take feedback and make changes. It helps to keep the feedback constructive, because as a large portion of this side of the world likely knows, saying things like "everyone is saying it" or "everyone knows it" doesn't make it true.
I've said this years game is lightyears better than the last few years, gameplay wise. But that doesn't change the fact that you have all these people running around with overpowered EE, Wheels and Quick Release that you're almost forced to use wheels on every single build you make and even then it sometimes isn't enough to play good enough defense because the people with EE will just skate right through everyone somehow untouched, even when there's something right there that should have knocked them off the puck or poked it.
One game I played we had a guy skate between three of our players, I (even with truculence) somehow missed the hit even though he was right in front of me, another teammate was right behind him and somehow couldn't poke the puck away either. So yeah, EE is way too overpowered and need to be tuned.

Why not get a video of this? Capturing video of things in-game you don't like is incredibly easy and there's no excuse this day and age for not being able to supply a small videoclip. Relying on us to decipher what happened based on the way you tell the story just leaves the discussion open to hyperbole and arguing. If we had a video showcasing EXACTLY what you claim to have seen, then everyone can see for themselves what's going on - including the developers of the game.
Sometimes these things don't show up in QA for a variety of factors and if the devs had video of these issues, the videos can sometimes point to clues that developers can see as to why things may not be working or overpowered.
