The replay system needs an overhaul. As in I want a setting to turn off any and all replays, and play against players with that same setting off. You are absolute Neanderthals if you watch the replays after scoring a goal. Push the dang button and lets get back to playing. My club will not watch replays, but the second someone watches theirs, we decide to not touch a button for each and every replay after the fact. You wanted to watch your stupid goal that we've all seen 1000x's go in, well, now we will waste your time and watch all of the rest of the replays.
Regarding your proposal on replays, I have some agreement and disagreement. First, I would not want to segment the playerbase based on their instant replay setting. The base is too small and I'd much rather prioritize RP or team size when carving up matchmaking. Also, especially for newer players there is value in seeing in what ways they messed up or succeeded.
That being said, like with most things in this game, I think some nuance in how the replay system is integrated could vastly improve it. Replays get more frustrating in games where the score is lopsided and you just want to get through it. The number and length of replays could be tied to lobby RP and game score. Make it a spectrum where newbie lobbied with an even score get the normal replays and slides up to high RP and lopsided games with zero.
