I'll add my observations from the past few days as I have been changing some network settings. I am in india
So if I changed my DNS to Google's and reconnected in world of chel then navigated to club search, the search option sometimes showed "Europe central" in recommended region. So if I proceed with that settings in matchmaking, I was able to match with other players fairly quickly but the ping was 250+ in most of the games. On a few occasions it showed ping equivalent to what I had in nhl 25 (150 ish).
But most of the time, regardless of DNS settings, the recommended region in the club search was ASIA pacific for me. And finding players in woc is impossible then unless you have a friend in EU or NA who can matchmake for you.
I also played in NA west coast servers and ironically it was giving me slightly better ping 240ish.
I know in asia the player pool is very low,but I hope there is some resolution to this issue as the game this year is fantastic.
Hi i tried changing DNS 1and2, not for player pool problem. But for other problem i had. In my experience DNS changing didn't give me better connection/ping speed. Quite opposite it was little bit worse than my default DNS address. I live in East Europe. Finding people isn't problem for my region i usually play around 21:00 o'clock by UTC +2
Ping is in 40-60 ms in that area typically. Haven't gotten less
