Very well stated OP, I too am an older gamer (53) and have been playing this game since the NHLPA 93 days. I have played every yearly iteration of this game and this was my last straw. The blatant greed is just too much for me anymore. Packs are overpriced and have no decent fodder. EA got my pre-order money this year but I'm never buying the game again.
