to me, it won't be fixed to our liking, well those that want a good game of hockey, anyways.  What really needs to happen is a user rating system.  Nothing fancy or complex, just a like or don't like button at the end of the game.  I realize people's emotions take over their feelings and losing hurts a lot of people.  BUT, eventually the unliked players could live in their own underworld of terrible play.  Again, we have a user base of 10 year old to 65 year olds, hard to relate.  Anyways, it's a dream of mine.  Online has been a cess pool for over 20 years.  EA continues to try and legislate good hockey practices, while a certain % of the community does their best to go against that.  One day :D

I would go crazy playing with auto-back skate on lol so I do not have that on. I have no issue with defensive players using it, it is almost exclusively on offense where it is abused. I don't even know what L2 abuse on defense could be other than hip checkers possibly. L2 introduces more negatives to gameplay than positives considering the intense amount of abuse it sees. At the end of the day if a feature is abused more often than it is used for its main purpose, it means it is implemented poorly and needs to be removed until it is fixed.

Before launch EA said LT was addressed. What did they do to address it or was it just a lie? 

Penalize strength and balance so a shove will separate them from the puck. It's that easy.
