Dumping the puck

Question

Can we please look into the lack of power into dumping the puck or clearing your zone. NHL 20 has a perfect puck clearing in your own zone. R1 + up and the puck never clears the zone. No matter how much you hold the button for more power. Especially if you’re on the Pk. I set up a perfect puck clearing opportunity.. go to dump it out.. and they flip it to the defender waiting at the blue line. Go clear the puck in NHL 20 and look how fluid that transition is. Please look into this and fix it.

The puck flip was nerfed to make the pressure system work better than it should....the game favors offense the most ...charging up the puck flip is another joke

Its ridiculous. Its hockey. Let it play out the way it’s supposed to. At the moment you literally see the puck’s momentum and speed die mid flight. Remove the nerf bring hockey back lol not to bring it up again but in 20 the clearing of the puck was amazing. Quick turn behind your net and flip it to center. Such a smooth transition. Now it feels like the puck has a magnet attached to it. Terrible design.

This is why I don’t use that command in the game, it’s completely useless in Be a Pro (since NHL20 i think). Also, taking a wrist shot from your own zone, for instance, while shorthanded, is rendered entirely pointless because the AI automatically directs the puck onto an opponent’s stick. You can only clear the puck from the zone without the attempt being intercepted by using a slap shot, provided, of course, that you manage to get it off before you get leveled by a hit. This just keeps getting worse year by year.

The funny thing is that in NHL 27 the AI has been unnerfed from dumping the puck, so it's just users who are penalised now. This has caused the AI goalies in my offline franchise to get delay of game penalties.

Exactly! The CPU does it and can do it perfectly. Let us do it.
