I'm still not a fan of putting attribute points and X-Factor AP points behind a battle pass. After running into players who paid to complete the battle passes on day one of each of the last three seasons in NHL 26 I can see that the FOMO is real and catch-up mechanisms or not this feel predatory.
I do have a question.

Are completing these objectives still essentially the only way to progress through the battle pass? I noticed last year that the XP you'd earn from actually playing games is essentially meaningless. You could play five or six games in a night and if you didn't complete an objective ( or all the current objectives were complete ) you'd likely not even finish half a level in the battle pass. It made it so if you missed a week, the loss of the XP from objectives couldn't realistically be made up by playing games. Has there been any changes to balance this out?

Hello!
Will we be able to earn XP towards the XP pass by playing private games
XP cannot be earned in private matches.

There is an XP reward for completing matches. You also earn more XP in 6v6 modes than others.

I understand that, but the question was about how significant is the XP earned by playing. Last year it was essentially meaningless compared to the XP gained through objectives, leaving objectives essentially the only way to move through the BP. Has there been any changes to balance this out more?

Nothing has changed with XP gain from last year when it comes to the reward for completing matches. Completing objectives is going to be the fastest way to get through the season pass.

Getting more and more predatory while they give us less in terms of development. We have major streamers and content creators ready to quit the game, players are fed up.. it's in a bad place, and they double down with more micro transactions. Then gaslighting us and pretending what they're doing now isn't an issue is wild. Before this dev team took over there was no money in WoC.. I wish we knew we were in the good ol' days before we were out of the good ol' days. At this point if any other company makes a game, I would not come back to this just based on how we're treated while they hold all the cards.

You guys have just killed the fun of being an occasional player. I don’t have time to complete every single objectives and I might miss an entire season. I will end up having lesser attribute caps and lesser player abilities. This is a shame.
