Have Playtest code but can’t unlink Xbox account please help

Long story short, my Xbox gamertag is linked to this account, however I have another ea account which is the one the playtest was approved on. I can’t unlink my Xbox account from this profile because it requires a 2 factor authentication code sent to the email, however when I click to send one, I do not get any emails. However when I contacted support I got that email.

I can’t receive 2 factor authentication codes sent to my accounts email. I can’t change the email without a 2fa code either so im stuck in a loop here. Why am I not receiving 2fa codes to my email?

Hi there. You'll need to speak with an advisor to get this resolved. Please use the 'Contact us' button at the bottom of this account support article to open a case. Thanks!

That's rough. Since the playtest has already started, hopefully someone from EA can escalate your case. It sounds like you've already tried all the usual support options.

Yea I have tried the chat, every time it says 3-5 minute wait for an agent, 45 minutes later and I’m still waiting. I opened a case, but have gotten no responses at all. Trying to get customer support from EA has been a total nightmare of AI chats that don’t do anything and no real people to talk too

That definitely sounds like it's specific to the 2FA system then, not your email in general. I'd update your EA Help case with that information since it rules out a lot of the usual email issues. Hopefully they can verify your account another way or fix whatever's blocking those codes.

So I verified with a recognized device when logging in, but that is the only time that’s an option, it is the 2FA codes for anything I attempt at all once logged in.

And I am getting EA support emails but no 2FA emails.

If you're receiving emails from EA Support but not the 2FA codes, it sounds like the issue is specifically with the verification emails. I'd contact EA Help again and let them know you're not receiving the login codes but can receive other EA emails. They may need to verify your account another way or investigate why the 2FA emails aren't being delivered.
