Every year in this game, there is a huge volume of shots on goal. I play Be a Pro mode with 20-minute periods, and there is zero realism because both teams register nearly 50 shots every single game. The AI shoots from absolutely anywhere—from the blue line and from the sharpest angles—whenever they get the chance. It's just not realistic. Is it possible to introduce some sliders so we can reduce the shot frequency?
It's a game and no matter how hard they try a game will never be like real life Hockey. I play 10 to 12 minute periods it's a little more realistic.
I think changing some of the sliders helped, as well as lowering the level to Pro. It seems that at the Pro level, the AI plays with much more combination, plus there are significantly fewer shots on goal. During a 20-minute period in the first game, I allowed 30 shots, in the second game—24, and in the third game—26
There is only one thing what you can do, use 10 min. or 5 min. periods. I have still 30+ shots every game on 10min. periods.
"I know that in 'Be a Pro' mode, there are no settings to change the simulation variables for a lower shot count. So, which specific gameplay sliders do you change to reduce the shots on goal and make the game more realistic?
I play on 10 minutes and it’s not horrible but teams average around 35 shots per game. I have adjusted sliders for a lot of loose pucks and lower accuracy to help, especially when I’m on the ice but the simulation could still be adjusted for a few less shots. Average should be around 28 shots per game. Some teams slightly more some teams slightly less.
A slider would be perfect but not a permanent change please. I finally have the cpu on highest difficulty giving me a bit of a challenge. Last game the cpu always ended up with 50% less shots than me and they couldn't win a single game.
