World of Chel

Played over 700 hours of NHL 26’, almost 500 games in World of Chel EASHL threes. 

World of Chel has so much potential to be a staple game mode and so many small easy adjustments to make it great so, what does EA do? Turns it into an absolute Micro-Transaction slop fest. It’s honestly garbage that overall sliders can’t be adjusted to more than 87 speed and now you have to pay for prebuilds to go beyond that. Nice pay-to-win formula…

Please, someone, tell me I’m wrong! I would hate to hear that EA made the best game mode for online play with friends stupendously worse…

Oh yeah, and seeing the exact same interface since 2020 is bonkers. I got robbed in 4k.

    I get the concern, but the attribute increases aren’t only paid. EA confirmed there will be a free way to earn the SP cap increases and attribute bonuses as you progress, including a free catch-up option if you miss a season. I’d give the new progression system some time before calling it pay-to-win.
