Bring Back Proper Defense Against Stickhandling!

What exactly am I supposed to do against players who just keep stickhandling the puck?

With Hybrid Controls, there is practically no way to defend against it. R1 poke checking doesn't work, and even shoulder checks do nothing.

Am I supposed to go to the bathroom and wait until my opponent finishes stickhandling? Seriously, EA, what am I supposed to do?

Bring back effective defensive mechanics! Players need a way to counter stickhandling, especially with Hybrid Controls.

    How is it possible that Stevens, even with the Truculence X-Factor, does absolutely nothing? He just gently touches the opposing player. How am I supposed to defend? Nothing works with Hybrid controls.

    Why does every player handle the puck like Connor McDavid, while defenders have practically useless hockey sticks?

    What's the point of defending when poke checks and body checks don't work? Where is the balance, EA?
