Banned for name stuck on Joe Nhl

Just got back on the game after receiving a 7 day ban for my name. Wondering how long I have to stay as Joe Nhl before I can actually change my name. However reading others issues I'm assuming it's a...

Hello, @Grolli11

Yes. This is permanent for NHL 22. In the future, make sure a name is chosen that does not violate the Terms of Service.

I received a three day ban for my name. I received one warning that I didn’t even know about until the actual ban. Second email was to tell me I was banned. At the bottom of this email it says it can be cumulative.

Sooo how do I change my name so I don’t get banned moving forward?? Or is my name permanent and I just hope I don’t embarrass anyone else so they complain about it again??

I disputed the ban but obviously it was an auto populated email returned saying the ban was justified. But it truly wasn’t.

Those responses aren't done by a bot. Someone from ToS investigated your account again and denied to lift the sanction due to breaking our rules on offensive content. While the email isn't personalized, it does come from a real person. Unfortunately, your name will need to remain as Joe NHL on NHL 22.

I was told by EA support that if I wanted to be able to change my name from Joe NHL that I would have to change my gamer tag and then it would unlock. Is this correct or did this support person not know what they were talking about?

  I really don't know where they got that information. As far as I know, that's not going to work.
