@SkylerJames13Glad I'm not the only one. It's sad because you do look forward to becoming a free agent to "test the market" as they say. I'm not even asking for a list of contending teams, just a team or two from each division would have been cool. I'm on my 4th try here and I'm going to see if I can demand a trade in year 2 of playing with the Rangers (you can demand a trade during year 2 and they'll work with you ) and see what team they ship me off to. Then after my contract ends in year 3, see who's offering me a deal. Hopefully it's not Arizona...AGAIN.
I see this as the only way of at least getting 2 options instead of 1.
Theres an interview somewhere with the creative director of the mode where he says the only focus for Be a Pro was the rookie season. That explains why the junior league was ignored and pretty much everything after the rookie year seems the same as years before. Now that they have the foundation I can only hope they add to it in future years.
For the record I think I got less than an hour into the mode before I realized it wasn't for me and just stopped playing it.

That is absolutely sad. What a waste of money. I bought it because i thought this was going to be an actual revamp, not just a literal nearly blank canvas for them to work off of.
this game mode is so ludicrously awful, I have been convincing my friends not to buy it. So far saved 12 buddies from wasting their money.
they took out so many key features and coded a couple empty broken features that the game isn’t playable.
I was really hopeful for this year, the first time I was excited for an EA NHL game in literally years. And just like every other year, it was an absolute let down. Bigger let down than the other years though since they promised a new game mode but didn’t deliver one.
