Be a pro focus cover the point

I'm playing be a pro as a RW and my defensive focus is cover the point. And I cover the player I'm supposed to but I can't complete it can someone help me figure this out please?

    I got it to work once for one check of 3 and not sure how. I've covered by taking passing lane, being right up in him, stick dragging etc with no luck. It would be nice to know what the game is considering "covered".

    Well  one game I decided to frantically go for "cover the point" and by baby jesus I did it. What you have to do is stay on your positional point man and try to block the passing lanes as well.  You have to essentially stop thtle ai from wanting to pass to him for a actual fair amount of time multiple times then eventually your coach will say good job you covered your man and voila one tick.

    Next time you get it just record you game footage! If you're on console
