Be a Pro free agency auto resign?

Was suppose to enter free agency in be a pro mode and rather than get the options to either resign with my current team or go somewhere else i was just resigned for 6 years to current team? Wondering if anyone else’s has experienced this and if there is an explanation thanks!

  • So I did experience this like once but I haven't seen it since. I have no idea what caused it, but I did automatically get a longer extension after my ELC. However, I am on a different save for Be A Pro now and it did the typical two contract offers after 3 years deal. No clue haha.

  • NHL 24 I experienced the same issue. After my ELC I was able to sign a 6 year contract with a new team and then a 5 year contract. However after the 5 year deal I was resigned to a 6 year deal for crap money on the 1st day of the resigning period without agreeing to it. I wanted to sign with a new team in a different division to achieve the Wheels Ability. Because in order to achieve this ability you have to win all 4 divisions. So I just wasted 14 seasons to get to this point only to be disappointed once again after never having the ability to ask for a trade because the Talk to the GM option never came up during the 14 seasons to ask for a trade. Due to this unpleasant experience I will no longer be purchasing EA NHL games in the future after purchasing and playing this series contiguously for at least the last 10 seasons. Obviously EA chose greed over making money from satisfied customers by not employing enough testers to correct all these issues. Not only with the career mode but issues with the franchise mode as well.
