If you're having some difficulties I suggest either turning off penalties so you can get a bit of a late hit that will count, or just turn up your aggression in the sliders; your size and build allow you to obliterate people when it is near max

I adjusted the sliders, but like @SkylerJames13 said, why should I have to make hitting easier in a game that's meant to be physical, especially if my prototype is built around that.
Of course, since all the rules changes in the past 5 years hitting has pretty much been gutted from the real game, so there's probably no use complaining about this. I guess EA is just following all the white collars that run the NHL.

@Masher_Smasher
What height/weight are you running? I’m assuming you’re used to past games though and you haven’t made your player too small.Try to be mindful of when you initiate the RS to trigger a hit; don’t hold it for very long before attempting, try for once you’re quite close to your target. Can also help to be moving slower and not charging full speed when going for the hit.

I have no problems body checking and im using the best height and best weignt as well and i have corked connor mcdavid more then once and of course had to get in a fight for it

I'm 6'3 225. I would say my RS mechanics are pretty solid. I don't like taking cheap hits, but I've even tried blindsiding a few guys just to see what happens, and they almost always slip thru. Frustrating.
But like I said, I don't wanna complain too much b/c overall I enjoy the game more than last year.

You're definitely right, we shouldn't be forced to max sliders to do simple things out on the ice; I'm not really an offline player so I personally prefer just going ham and becoming a god when I can.
The problem stems from the AI having near perfect reaction time - they're able to see you coming so they just angle you out, even with max settings. If you set your pressure to high, you should be able to create a pincer attack of sorts.
