Can’t offer a UFA a contract
Never offered one prior or was able too.
it immediately says trade for asset. None of the other ufas have this problem. When will I be able to offer a contract?

You aren't able to offer some players new contracts until January 1st.
I think if a player wasn't signed prior to the end of the previous season or July 1st, can't remember which one, than they can't re-sign until January 1st.
- @axetofall players on one-year deals need to wait until Jan 1 to sign an extension
