There have been numerous posts regarding editing your lines in HUT and receiving an error. The workaround for this is to create a new lineup under My Team > Manage Lineups. Create your lineup with the same players and make it active. You should then be able to edit the lineup.

I'd like you to power cycle your equipment with the following steps: unplug your modem, router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem and router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!
NHL 21 was working perfectly fine till one day i purchased samuel gerard and jan rutta from the auction house. Samuel gerard showed up in my collection but i never recieve the jan rutta and ea servers crashed. Now i cannot edit my lines without an error code and the game crashing. Can play the game fine but i cannot change my lines without an error failed to retrieve data. Very upset have deleted and redownloaded multiple times. Even purchased the new xbox series s but same issue.

I apologize for my misunderstanding earlier. I created new lineup as directed and everything worked. Strangely I lost progress in my Squad battles though. It reset once I played with my new lineup 🤯
