ooohhhh wait dude, have you tried changing your avatar? I know that sounds stupid but this actually solved a lot of problems Xbox players were having when the game first launched.

I tried going back through threads but haven't been able to find the exact posts but here are a few where the fix was at least mentioned. You'll notice these are about Ones and Threes but I do remember people reporting their HUT and Online VS problems were also fixed.

Changing gamertags and in other instances changing from a custom avatar to a regular one seemed to fix most of their problems.
Be sure to check out post #101 and greater in https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/Post-your-FTRD-information-here-Failed-To-Retrieve-Data/td-p/8194835/page/11 -- Do you have anything connected to your system via usb? This was a problem at launch that had a weird solution so maybe try unplugging any of those (and/or try all 3 methods at once) and see if anything is better.
