What troubleshooting have you performed so far? I'd like to avoid repeating steps you've already performed. One thing to be sure to check is to have UPnP enabled on your router.
- 5 years ago@EA_Aljo I haven't checked the in depth router settings but we have tried switching off wired connection, closing application, restarting our playstations. One thing we have had some success with is when we reset our router and go into a game after it immediately works for one or two games but then the problem happens again. We could just reset the router every time we want to play but obviously its not good to constantly unplug it. I will be sure to check my settings to see If UpnP is enabled and will get back to you...

Sounds good. Just get back to me when you check that setting. Also, check the NAT setting for both consoles. It's in the Network Settings screen. If it is strict or Type 3, you'll need to change your NAT so it's either Open or Moderate (Type 1 or Type 2).

You're unable to both play because one of you doesn't have PS+. Game ownership can be shared between 2 accounts but I'm pretty sure PS+ can't be shared across two systems.
If they somehow changed the rules, you both being on the same wifi could be causing an IP conflict - I suggest one person attach the google address to their console
