Once we you get 5 to 7 years into Franchise, all of a sudden your Low Elite Potential, 3rd line Forwards, who are getting 3rd Line Minutes are asking for 12 to 14 million, while Med Franchise Players, are asking for 10 million, and they've been getting Line 1 Minutes and have 93 overall ratings.
Just revamp the logic please?
Are these players on Stanley Cup winning teams?
Just so you know, the updates, released to fix salaries are still really broken. I actually uninstalled the game and downloaded it all again. 5 years into Franchise mode (less then last time) my 86 overall Top 6 F is asking for 9.500 million. Just as an FYI, he was playing on my second line, only put up 40 points in 82 games, and my team didn't make the play offs.
While I appreciate ya'll thinking it was Stanley Cup winners asking for a ton, its everyone. You really need to rework the contract limits. Honestly, it would be better to set max limits by levels.
Franchise can't exceed 12 million
Elite can't exceed 10 million
Top 6 can't exceed 8
These are of course examples of course.
Well, I mean the NHL does have rules about this to keep things in check. Look what happened with Gruabuaer and Seattle.
They offered him more money then the league allowed, so they had to offer him an increasing contract, so he'll earn the max they promised him over 5 years.
When you've got a guy making 3 million, after 3 years, he can't demand 9 million when his contract is up, he can only make 5.5.Things like that would go a long way.
I believe Grubauer’s contract was rejected because the actual salary amount was too much of a difference between years of the contract. In this game you can’t select the salary amounts, it is exactly the same every year of the contract. So this doesn’t really have any impact on the amount a player can demand for a new contract.
