Contract Insanity
Could you please look into the contract issues? Once we you get 5 to 7 years into Franchise, all of a sudden your Low Elite Potential, 3rd line Forwards, who are getting 3rd Line Minutes are asking f...
Just so you know, the updates, released to fix salaries are still really broken. I actually uninstalled the game and downloaded it all again. 5 years into Franchise mode (less then last time) my 86 overall Top 6 F is asking for 9.500 million. Just as an FYI, he was playing on my second line, only put up 40 points in 82 games, and my team didn't make the play offs.
While I appreciate ya'll thinking it was Stanley Cup winners asking for a ton, its everyone. You really need to rework the contract limits. Honestly, it would be better to set max limits by levels.
Franchise can't exceed 12 million
Elite can't exceed 10 million
Top 6 can't exceed 8
These are of course examples of course.
Well, I mean the NHL does have rules about this to keep things in check. Look what happened with Gruabuaer and Seattle.
They offered him more money then the league allowed, so they had to offer him an increasing contract, so he'll earn the max they promised him over 5 years.
When you've got a guy making 3 million, after 3 years, he can't demand 9 million when his contract is up, he can only make 5.5.Things like that would go a long way.
I believe Grubauer’s contract was rejected because the actual salary amount was too much of a difference between years of the contract. In this game you can’t select the salary amounts, it is exactly the same every year of the contract. So this doesn’t really have any impact on the amount a player can demand for a new contract.
Partially you are correct, no year should be able to exceed and additional 60% of the previous year.
If that rule was implemented in the game, a player making 3 million wouldn't be able to ask for more the 4.8 million and a player making 10 million wouldn't be able to ask for more than 16.
I'm willing to sign, David Pastrana at 16 million from age 27 to 35, not the 21 million he just asked for in this Franchise. He's asking for 21, and no teams can free up the cap space to sign him. I summed 6 years, and he still hasn't dropped his asking price and has never been signed. That seems like an issue, no?
