Contract Insanity

Could you please look into the contract issues? Once we you get 5 to 7 years into Franchise, all of a sudden your Low Elite Potential, 3rd line Forwards, who are getting 3rd Line Minutes are asking for 12 to 14 million, while Med Franchise Players, are asking for 10 million, and they've been getting Line 1 Minutes and have 93 overall ratings.

Just revamp the logic please?

@Jtwong2780 I can't say that they would or that they wouldn't, always make a mokery of it. Might test it later and comeback to it
  • 30/30 guys should NEVER ask for 14 million. This has to be considered a bug

  • @johum2886 I don’t know man.. devs said it’s intentional.. lol sarcasm.. can’t believe they think that this is a good way for the game to play.. just saying this so they don’t have to fix it..
  • Really thinking they are hoping we give up and just play with the cap off.

But honestly with what I read going on in Fifa...I think our contract insanity is not as game breaking. At least we have the ability to turn off the cap. In Fifa, the team objectives are crazy, no details as to how to achieve the goal, and even worse, even if you are top of the league , you can still get fired due to not achieving a unrealistic goal that gives you no details as to how to achieve it. They don't even have the option to turn off firing!

Sometimes it works in my advantage, like backup goalies thinking about 3-4 M$ durant the year, and then someday they randomly accept 1 M$ per year for 2 years...

Young players tend to be more reasonable during off season after the draft (similar price for 7-8 years around 10M$) , compared to during-the-season contract renewals where the asking price increases a lot (like from 8-9 M$ per year to 14-18 M$ per year).

It can be excessive at times, but the AI isn't stupid when it comes to signing.  I found that if they perform well, not only do they grow faster, but they demand more in compensation.  Take the example of Jaquan Hunter - he was a Medium Top 6 potential, 89 overall player at 23 who wanted 15.8 million for a 3 year contract.  His similarly ranked brother signed for 11.2 million for 8 years.  I offered him 14 for 8 years and he turned it down.  I qualified him and let him deal with the free agency - worst case is that I meet the offer of some other team.

I offered him 13 million for 8 years and he turned me down in Free Agency.  September rolls around without him accepting any offer.  His demands were decaying - he accepted an 8 year contract at $11.15 million after turning down two better offers from me.  His demands were inflated because I played several games at low difficulty which means he got a * of points, especially being a center on a line with a snipers who got 180 goals, most of them with an assist from Jaquan off the faceoff with a left D as an intermediary.  He wised up.

While they are RFAs you can do this easily, no one wants to pay that much or give you four 1st round draft picks.  When they become UFAs you may have to be much more vigilant about keeping offers on the table until they accept a reasonable amount.
