How does player salary effect my created pro? What is the difference between a 1 way & a 2 way contract? Is there a way to change my pro team?

Your salary changes things when it comes time for trades or being signed and things surrounding that. Let's say, for example, that your pro is drafted by the Florida Panthers, you spend your first three years dominating the league and blowing everyone's socks off. Then say you sign a nice big contract for 6 years at $10 million a year (Unlikely, but for the purposes of this example...), and you, being a die hard Lightning fan, don't want to play for your rivals anymore so you send in a trade request. Now only teams that can afford you will take on the trade.
A one-way contract means that the player is paid the same amount of money regardless of whether he plays in the NHL or the AHL. A two-way contract is a professional sports contract which stipulates that an athlete’s salary is dependent upon the league in which the athlete is assigned to play. This is opposed to a one-way contract that would pay the same salary regardless of where the athlete is assigned to play.
Two-way contracts are common for professional ice hockey players who aspire to play in the NHL. Any hockey player entering the NHL for the first time will sign an entry level, two-way contract with an NHL team stipulating that he will receive a higher salary if assigned to play with the NHL team, but will receive a lower salary if assigned to play for a team in the minor leagues such as the AHL or the ECHL.
As far as I'm aware the only way to switch teams is if you are traded, or if yousign with a different team when your contract expires.
