Create Players without a Helmet

This would be a really cool option in the created player sweet to be able to create players without helmets. It just doesn't look right when you create Bobby Orr or Craig Mactavish and you have to put a helmet on them.

I hope in the next patch that we have the ability to create players without helmets again.

Thanks

  • I agree 100%.

Creating additional alumni players like Orr, Esposito, etc, etc, etc isn't right when they must have a helmet. The game allows alumni players in the game without helmets so I know it's technically possible. It seems reasonable that we should be able to create players without helmets as well.

    Thanks.

  • I've noticed in the create a player suite that we can't make players without helmets.

Be nice if we could get this option patched in.

Bobby Orr doesn't look right with a helmet.

I totally agree. We should be able to create helmetless players for offline mode so we can create missing legends like Orr, Esposito and Bobby Hull.

Yes sir. In NHL 20 I edited Dennis Hull into Bobby Hull LOL. He had no helmet and his face picture looked close enough. Although I don't think his real face was used.

I totally agree!  Last year re: NHL 20, I posted a comment re: this shortcoming along with no "Friday the 13th Jason" goalie masks being available in the CAP section.  With all the no helmet players and goalies wearing the old fashioned goalie masks in the game you'd think this would be a no brainer.  But, sadly they didn't fix it this year.  Very disappointing.  COME ON EA!  YOU CAN DO BETTER!!!

  • Agree!! No helmets and throwback goalie masks! I’m not sure why these options weren’t considered for NHL 22...EA ... give the people that pay your salaries what they want!

Totally agree! And bring back the round helmets! More vintage masks too!
