Difficulty loging into NHL online, HUT team hacked/stolen?
I confronted a scammer earlier this evening and now find myself unable to log into EA servers for NHL on my PS4. I play a lot of Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT) and the scammer was disappointed that I wouldn't trade my best players. Shortly after I noticed my connectivity issues, I received a PSN message that said "There I took care of it, just like I said I would but you didn't give me a chance" and now I'm wondering if my account has been hacked, banned, or if servers are just down for maintenance and my paranoia is too high. I did not give out any information about myself to him, but I have a feeling he wanted my HUT players and may be the reason for my connection issues.
Anyways, here's my current issue
I keep getting the message when I try to play NHL 15 on PS4 or try any of the online features:
Login Error
Unable to connect to the EA servers at this time. In order to access the online features for this title, please verify that your network connection is working and you are signed in to your Sony Entertainment Network account, or try again later.
However, PSN is up and running fine, I can send and receive messages fine. I even put in Battlefield 4 (an EA game) to see if I that still worked and had no issues at all. Can someone please help me?

Well, I think this can be resolved as a bad case of timing and paranoia. It would be nice if there was a system status indicator that was up-to-date.
Basically, I went to bed after writing my post and then in the morning, I was able to log in to NHL 15 HUT and see that my team and cards and coins were all still intact. Whew! 🙂
Normally, having the servers go down is no big deal to me, but when it happens unexpectedly and I also get some suspicious messages from an individual that tried to cheat me out of my cards and coins right around the time the servers go down.... I started thinking the events may possibly be related. But alas, everything is okay.
