Community ManagerI understand that. Those servers aren't supposed to be up so it's possible this is related to that. When I have some news, I'll update here.
@EA_Aljo Ok but they are supposed to give a 30 day notice before pulling features so we can get the achievements/trophies before shutdown. Right now we can't get the "lead by example" achievement/trophy, because we can't make a team or set a captain. This is unacceptable, because there was no notice of anything kind of shutdown.
@Escadias I agree If I missed the posted 30 day notice I totally understand, but there was no 30 day notice. So what happened was this: ive been actively playing this game since like april my group did the achievement in late june and i didnt get it cause i wasnt set as captain for some reason everyone had to go so they said we would do it another time and when we went to do it a few days later all of a sudden I couldn't set captains anymore.
Also @EA_Aljo what is weirder is the role selection isn't shutdown completely because it lets you let other people be the gm of your league. That role can be changed, BUT for whatever reason the captain role cannot even though its in the same mode.
Also it was never announced for a server closure you are confusing it for the Xbox one version being removed from the vault. Thats not the same as a server closure. Also the 360 versions were never in the EA play vault.

NHL®16 - EA Access members, please note that we are removing NHL 16 from the EA Access Vault on November 1, 2019. On this date, the game will no longer be available to download from the EA Access Hub for the Xbox One.
Nothing about a server closure or the 360 version.
Community ManagerThe notice is in the Sunsets area of our site. That is for games that are having their servers shut down. That's just additional details saying the game won't be downloadable.
Community ManagerThis was announced back in 2019. I'm surprised those servers are still active. As soon as I have some details, I'll post an update.
