Error when trying to play a friend online

Me and my father keep receiving an "ERROR, Failed to retrieve data; please try again later" when trying to play online together. Error Code: 65836E8CC2F858E7-0000000000009999-20535A907DF21DCE. We have already tried connecting our ethernet cables and have deleted and reinstalled the game. Nothing has worked. Has anybody else

    Hi there, @thatkoolguy123.

    Can you botch check the network settings on your consoles and let me know what the NAT type is? If you're on Xbox, you want it to be moderate or open. On PS4, you want it to be Type 1 or Type 2. If you see strict or Type 3, you won't be able to play head to head games.

    When My wife and I try and play world of chel together I get the following error ad038148aa8e2b87-0000000009999-c15ec1794433ec64. We both have our own xbox both our own xbox live and we both have EA access. How do I resolve this?

    When exactly do you get that error? Does it happen the moment you try to load WoC?

    Everything will load up but when I go to play in chel world and start searching for a game it backs me out every time and says check my connection. My connection is good I’ve restarted router and I’m hard wired
