face off stick lifting

The game keeps telling me that the CPU player is lifting my stick during face-offs and that is why my center man loses them. However, I can find no information on how to counter-act opponent stick lifting. Does anyone know the answer to this and how to counter-act it?

    If you read the in game manual it will tell you about what to do for face offs and how to use the joysticks to control your player and the direction of which the player aims to. Maybe if you do the same move back to the cpu.. ( holding the left joystick to the left and then when the puck drops push the right joystick up, you can counter act the cpu) hope this information was beneficial!
