Franchise mode game crash

Product: NHL 22
Platform:Xbox Series S
How often does the bug occur? Often (50% - 99%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Start a franchise mode.
What happens when the bug occurs? I’m not able to get past a specific date because when I try to simulate my game crashes
What do you expect to see? I expect to see real changes and a playable franchise mode
Was the issue in online or offline mode? Offline
Insert Game Mode or Feature here Franchise mode
What time did you see the bug? (HH:MM AM/PM) 21:42
What is your time zone? EAT - GMT + 3:00
What is your gamertag/PSN ID? Le Waxer

    Hey, NHL Community.

    If you are crashing after yesterday's January update please let us know the following so we can get this information forwarded to the team to help aide them in putting out a fix.

    • What platform you're on
    • Are you playing on Gen 4 if you are on Gen 5
    • Where it's crashing or freezing in Franchise or Be A Pro
    • Do you get an error message? If so what is it
    • Does this happen for new Franchise/Be A Pro games
    • Brief description of what you're doing before it crashes

    @Iron60083 Patch coming tomorrow… this issue isn’t fixed unfortunately… I think most people have given up on NHL 22 honestly…

    I have not had a crash in a while….  I thought they had already fixed it

    There were indeed improvements in a prior update. If one is still experiencing crashes we advise troubleshooting in our Technical Issues board. From where we are from launch to now the amount of reports on this are very minimal which can be in line with expectations on what can happen to players with hardware failure, corrupted files, account based issues that could be impacting it, and so forth.

    PS4 NHL 22 still crash if I try to trade any players. Failure code is: CE- 34878-0.

    How that IS possible? Whole year same problem. Cant understand!

    A player posted a workaround here that is related to trades causing crashes.

    @EA_Blueberry When I am playing season mode and I need to play another game and try to simulate up to this date in offline season mode it starts the red at the bottom saying simulating but then quits and goes back to the title screen.
    I have have uninstalled the game and unplugged it for well more then 10 seconds to no avail.
    I have logged in many hours on this game please tell me all is not lost that there may be a solution to this?

    @EA_Blueberry I am sorry I am on Xbox series X but I did figured it out when I was trading players in my offline season I disturbed a few teams goalies and those teams did not have goalies in their lines so once I fixed this issue it worked.
    Sorry to waste your time but thank you for the quick response.
    Really liking this latest iteration of the game interested to see any improvements on the offline side in NHL 23 thanks again.

    Glad to hear you were able to pinpoint the cause. Now that you've brought it up, I've seen some crashes in the past from the result of goalie lines being empty due to trades.
