Franchise mode RFA compensation

Product: NHL 22
Platform:Sony Playstation 4
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When offering a player who is a RFA during the offseason the compensation required pays to the next higher tier. Example I offered Quinn Hughes a 5.5 mil X 6 year deal, the sheet says a 1st and a third, but the game is recording the payment of a first a second and a third round of draft pick.
What happens when the bug occurs? The game is overcharging us compared to the required posted payments.
What do you expect to see? Matching payment for the offer
Was the issue in online or offline mode? Offline
Insert Game Mode or Feature here Franchise mode
What time did you see the bug? (HH:MM AM/PM) 12:15 pm
What is your time zone? EST (IET) - GMT - 5:30
What is your gamertag/PSN ID? Kingturby

  • Having the same issue, in game the Offer Sheet Compensation tab shows 4.1-6 million offers requires a 1st and 3rd for the current year. When I offer 5.4 it tells me I have to pay the next tier up of the current years 1st, 2nd & 3rd.

  • At least I'm not alone. However this thread is obviously all alone because people can add one about a half hour after mine and get an immediate response from EA and let this one sit high and dry. It must be because it's for an offline mode that they don't care about.

  • In an attempt to keep trying to sign Hughes I found that no matter the money offered, it was the term (being 6 years) that triggers the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd pick compensation rather than the dollar amount as it should be
