I have no ETA on this, I know that this is high priority (it had been picked up on other communication channels by the NHL team as well), but until a solution is reached, we can't know how long it will take. 🙂

I do not think player stats will be reset, however, as the tools to do this are most likely not implemented, and would not only represent a significant amount of work (while our NHL customer service teams already have their hands pretty full with HUT cases), but also a door open to possible abuse.

I have been having this issue in all online play as well but I am in the Chicago region. It all started with the last update. I have 105/20 internet with pings in the 20's. 

This is annoying!!!!!!!!!!

I am doing the same as SPOKEZ... Cell tether using Rogers LTE in the meantime .... Thankfully I have 6Gb data plan (and NO LAG but a couple disconnects though))...From what I can tell all Bell Fibe customers who are playing NHL 14 are affected...

We are still investigating the root cause for this issue. For those of you still experiencing lag, we would appreciate if you could aid us by answering just four short questions:

1. Which platform are you ? (PS3 or Xbox360?)
2. Which province/territory are you located in?
3. Which city are you located in? (If you are in a smaller village, list the closest bigger city)
4. If the experience differs during the day, at what time does the lag become very noticeable?

in the forums I found in many topics how to tracert EA server. i.e easo.ea.com.

I am located in Czech Republic - middle of EUrope.. EASO.EA.COM is pointing me to US.

Please what is DNS for tracert / ping for EA Europe servers?

I would like to choose best provider according to that result.

I have played battlefield 3 today without issues or lag. I have tried NHL14 many times today and the same result when I am connected to the EA servers my screen will freeze and the gameplay is unplayable. Offline the play now option works fine without any lag/slow downs. Again it seems to be a possible port issue with Bell Fibe.
