For example I'll hit someone hard with one of my players and a player on the opposing team will come after him to fight and it seems like I have no choice in the matter. It really bugs me because it happens at ridiculous times, once I had to fight a plug with one of my best players in a tie game late.
Almost every time I hit a person I have to stand up and fight one of his teammates. ( I cannot say no to this fight, or turtle, which should be allowed)
This happens at least 3 times a game, not to mention a few more times when the my own CPU teammates or the opposition does so.
So first off this happens way too often, where as in the real NHL this happens less then once a week, most fights in the NHL are usually staged.
(for which I have yet to see this happen now, I've played over 40 games now, it's very annoying)
Next off, the teammate that comes in to fight for his partner starts the fight. This should always result in an instigator penalty.
If NHL14 does not have this, then it is not true to NHL rules.
If anything at least change this, please.
EA Fix this please, let us say no or turtle to these fights, make these fights way more infrequent and make the teammate who comes in get at least a
2 minute instigator or more.
Thank you.
UPDATE: I actually had a fight tonight with a guy who started a fight cause I hit his teammate clean. So I couldn't stop the fight. After the fight I got a 5 minute major and he didnt!!! So he was on the 2nd next shift on the major power play. What is going on here EA ? (This is hilarious, I've never heard of these rules)

In some cases, if you hit an opposing player hard enough, a teammate will change you to a fight that you won't be able to decline. If in other instances an opponent is trying to engage you, don't press the "fight" button (Y on the 360 and whatever the PS3 equivalent is). After a 5-10 seconds, the prompt to accept the fight will disappear and you can continue playing.

So has EA figured out a way to say no to a fight yet ?
