Poke checks, stick lifts and hits/bumps are the best ways to cause a turnover. It just depends on the situation.
As far as the other assumptions go, the AI players have the same abilities as human controlled players. If you're seeing slower players outskate faster ones, get us some video so we can review it for any issues. There are several different variables that can cause players to play slower. Fatigue is a big one, but you also lose speed when turning. The puck carrier has a small reduction in speed when carrying the puck, but that is negated if you're hustling.

I know the CPU easily steals the puck from me, but is there a way for me to do the same?

How about when i have the puck and nobody does anything and the puck just tloats on over to the ai player?
This had happened in every release at least since nhl 12
So a decade of this happening and you guys need video to acknowledge it? nobody was talking about being outskated

@EA_Aljo Can you comment what attributes and abilities contribute to being able to obtain (except poke, stick lift) and then maintain (besides deking stuff) possession of the puck.
I am a DD and am trying to boost what I can to win puck battles and then keep the puck:
I think :
Attributes:
Balance
Strength
Puck control seems to be more about receiving passes, not maintaining possession once you have it?
Abilities:
No contest
Big rig
Bouncer?
Unstoppable Force
Are these correct? What did I miss? Which impact the most.

As I mentioned I discovered I can use the "A button along with the left bumper to steal the puck and body check. What I also did was adjust the sliders for the CPU and human play, it helped a lot.

Bouncer itself doesn't help with hanging onto the puck, but raising strength and balance so this can be activated will help. Anything that raises strength, balance and puck control should raise the chances of not losing the puck. Your player's size will also factor into this. It's harder to knock bigger players off the puck. There are also a few boosts that will raise strength and balance. As far as winning puck battles goes, there also is the Magnetic ability that can help with pick-ups. I'm not sure which would be most impactful. Just haven't gone into a deep dive of testing each ability, but using abilities and boosts to raise puck control, strength and balance would be your best bet. Other than not getting close enough to opposing players that may separate you from the puck 🙂

Hi When you say "Bouncer", do you mean the "A" button. If it's not, then which button(s) are considered "Bouncer"?
