I'm sorry, but this issue is starting to get the better of me and I will stay away from this forum for now, since I don't see anything coming out of it but frustration and more EA bull * and I don't want to waste my time posting rants and your time reading those rants.
I also will not waste anymore time with shady, ignorant, inept and incompetent people.
I play games since "Pong' was huge and I have had my fair share of bad games and slightly less than awesome developers. Hell, I am working in the gaming industry since 10 years, but the level of incompetence displayed by EA really takes the cake.
But that's not all - what peeves me off most is the NON-EXISTING customer service and that customers are getting the runarround BIG time.
THIS on top of delivering a half-assed and not tested product FOR YEARS is an insult to the customer base and sooner or later this behaviour will backlash. People WILL stop buying those games.
This issue was reportet during the Beta. The reports were ignored, posts were removed, and the entire NHL forum all of a sudden was taken offline unannounced with the excuse that they restructure the forums. Sure thing.
I already have cancelled my EA Access and I will NOT buy ANY other EA game right after release anymore. I also will stay away from all the completely useless NHL "Gold/Platinum" Editions since those "extra" packs are not worth the extra money AT ALL. Save that money and by a sixpack [of GOOD beer] or something.
I'm glad, tho, that I managed to help people out here with that workaround, so they can play HUT and I'd be more than happy to see you on the virtual ice.
On the same token I'm a little bit sad, that I "enabled" those guys to play HUT, because now those poor fellows are exposed to even more issues.
On a positive note: to me it feels like the AI, especially on D, is a little more, well ... "intelligent" this year. Maybe those little pixelated guys should develop the next NHL game, it hardly can get any worse.
Cheers!
GO BLUES!
