HUT matching penalties bug

Product: NHL 21
Platform:Microsoft XBOX One
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? In HUT (at least that’s the only mode I’ve explored with this bug) if you make a big hit that results in the AI initiating a fight during play, the player on your team who made the hit and the opposing AI challenger will get matching roughing penalties. When the penalty time is up, those players leave the box but do not return to their line. They can be seen sitting on the bench, but they do not go back on the ice. It is like they received a game misconduct or are hurt and their spot on their line is auto filled.
What happens when the bug occurs? The players do not return to the ice. They just sit on the bench for the rest of the game, despite their penalty time being over.
What do you expect to see? To allow the player to return to the ice. I’d like to be able to play at full strength, not down 3 of my players because the AI challenged me and I didn’t want to fight.

I had my Jack Eichel card in HUT hit an opposing AI which caused the opposing AI to challenge me to a fight. I did not accept the fight and both players were assessed matching 2:00 roughing penalties. The game stayed 5 on 5. When the penalties were over, the players could be seen coming out of the box at the next whistle, but Eichel never returned to his spot. It was filled in like he was hurt. In replays I could see him sitting on the bench. The exact same thing happened to my Ryan Suter. Made a big hit, was challenged to a fight, didn’t accept, wasn’t able to play the rest of the game. Both incidents occurred in the first period, so there was plenty of time for them to return or for a bug to work itself out. They never returned to the game. Also, when my team was being challenged to the fight, my players were unable to hold the puck. While the challenging AI was skating to my player who made the big hit, and my player was waiting to respond to the fight initiation, my other skaters could not control the puck. It would just pinball off my stick. The AI was, however, able to maintain control. It creates for an extremely frustrating 3-5 seconds where you have to slap the puck around and wait until the opposing AI reaches your player who made the big hit. Otherwise it’s like being on a delayed penalty kill where you can’t possess the puck and the AI can maintain control. The matching penalties aren’t whistled until you touch the puck, which can’t be done until the AI reaches your skater.
