Personally, I would like to see forced trades be an option for franchise mode. It seems like an easy thing to add, and as more of a sandbox player, it gives a lot of creativity and flexibility when playing franchise mode.
@Supersand10 that would be a good add, especially since we can't put new roster updates into an existing franchise. I also wouldn't mind it if they added a "veto trade" option as well. I like to keep franchise as realistic as possible and think it would help to veto some of the dumb trades the cpu GM's make. (this year more so than before with the new trade deadline)
Maybe they could implement some sliders for trades that allows us to control this more. EX. "star player movement slider" where we can choose how much we want star players traded or testing free agency.
