Input lag on PS3 Legacy Edition

I'm having horrible lag when it comes to the controller input lag.  Its in every mode I play, every time I play it.  The menu and all the strategies don't lag, every time I click a button it instantly changes the strategy or moves up and down the menu.  But the rest of the game lags like crazy.  Passing, hitting, poke checks, switching players, even fights are all off by a second or two, which really [Inappropriate comment removed - Admin.] LAG; i can barely get shots off because of it. 

WHEN WILL THE NEXT PATCH FOR PS3 COME OUT? I don't understand how there aren't more posts about this, I know it's not my ps3 because everything would lag, not just in game mechanics.  FIX THIS PROBLEM EA you goddamn *s.  I love playing NHL but this is literally unplayable. Its taken a lot of willpower not to just snap the [Edit - Admin.] game in half.
