Input Loss Issues
I have recently been experiencing an issue where I will boot up NHL one day and the game will miss many of my inputs, and I mean many (like 30-50%). It makes the game practically unplayable, happens ...
Hi there, @Chaseinator5.
Thanks for the report on this. I'm not seeing other reports of this so let's try troubleshooting. Have you tried using a different controller? Also, what controller(s) are you using? Are they official Xbox or 3rd party? Are they wired or wireless?
Official Xbox wireless controller (elite that came with Xbox series X console purchase, no modifications).
We can continue the troubleshoot but this is definitely a problem isolated to NHL 21. I have tested the controller as mentioned and there are no problems, and I also don't experience issues in other games. To further this point, when I reinstall the game, scrolling suddenly becomes faster and the input loss disappears (for some time before it returns after a few weeks).
It's also not an online/internet issue as the problem occurs locally and in the menu screen of NHL as well. So some type of software/running error in NHL 21. I first ran into this problem about a month ago, so I reinstalled the game, but it reappeared a couple days ago, so I reinstalled again.
It's an odd issue for sure. Have you tried plugging in the controller? Have you tried another controller as well? Is the firmware for it up to date?
I have tried another controller (resulting in the same issue persisting) and I ensured my controller's firmware was up to date. I have not tried plugging in the controller, but this issue is no longer a problem that I can try this for as I have already fixed the problem by reinstalling. Maybe if it happens again I can try this, but I don't know if it has anything to do with the controller or Xbox receiving the input signal as there is no problem outside of NHL.
