Is there a way to update Xbox 360 roster without internet connection??

I currently don't have the ability to get an ISP in my area - been told it won't happen for some time - so I was hoping there was a way to download the updates onto a thumb drive and install that way?...

You could try to download the update files just from a friends Xbox but the roster updates for console NHL are not online to access it via a PC. You have to get it from the XBL store aka via saved game data on a Xbox 360.
