We have no official confirmation yet on what is scheduled to be fixed in the next update. When we find out all the details we'll share them here with everyone. We've been letting the team know weekly having this addressed is one of your top requests. From my understanding it's been more difficult to address than originally anticipated and I know while you don't see immediate results in can be assumed it's not being looked into. Numbers on uniforms is a big part of sports, I assure you the team is committed to addressing this.
Regarding helmetless players I can touch up on that for just a moment. I do recommend continuing the conversation in the thread we have listed under these November results. It's a feature request I've seen on the forums the last couple years and we'll continue letting the team know you'd like to see it. I recommend giving posts in the Suggestion, Franchise, and General Discussion boards XP and reply to them with anything you want to add. Definitely helps with visibility. As for the difficulty of it? I am not sure about how hard it would be to implement as I'm not involved in development but if you were to add hair you'd have to also have animation done for each one and that is simply a time consumption task they have to weigh out whether it is more prioritized over other high requests from the community. Continue to respond to those threads and let them know on social media if you can it's something you want to see. We'll do our part in letting them know what the hot topics are here.

Thanks for responding. It's not just jersey numbers not working; the names don't appear either. And the names/likeness are what sells the game. It's not just aesthetic, it's fixing the entire custom team concept.
Please let just know, if/when you can, if we are going to be waiting until next year.
I wish this message board stayed focused; we're now talking about a multitude of features that, while important, are mitigating the point to this thread; an entire mode of the game is unplayable.
