Laggy animations or low fps XB Series S

NHL 22 on the Xbox Series-S compared to NHL 22 on PS4 Pro has a much lower resolution? Similar (but not as bad) as the Fifa 22 on Xbox Series S the players are blurry and pixelated, the numbers on their back and especially their surnames are more so pixelated and blurry. At times their outlines pixelates quite strongly when compared to old gen versions. The only 2 games I have found this problem with are NHL 22 and Fifa 22, the new gen Madden is perfect. I am aware that EA are working on the Fifa 22 problem with this, but I am seem to be picking it up to a slightly lesser degree here. Please see attachment I made, I hope this helps. @danielstoffbergSame issue here on a Series S playing on a 1440p monitor (in 1440p). The game looks noticably fuzzier than 21 did, even in the menus. Something is definitely broken with the upscaling.

It's like something is wrong with the engine so it lowers in game resolution to keep up the framerate. Whatever reason, this is just sad. Like a car company releasing a car that can only use first tree of eight gears ore something. And some doors are missing, but nobody noticed.

Thanks for the screenshot. That really helps. If anyone has any video of this, that would be great to see as well so we can look into this further. Just to be sure, are you using the HDMI cable your Series S came with? Does it also happen if you disable HDR?

Hello, i have same issues on PS5 while playing PS4 version.. and its not upscale i have 1080p monitor..

I noticed this as well on the PS5 version. I hope EA can fix it.

I changed game speed to 4 and after that the animations are smooth enough. (Sounds like a rounding issue or similar in the calculations between speed and animations).

The stutter that is left now is with augmented reality together with face-off, any position.

Shouldn't be that taxing for Series S to handle some extra textures... So sometihing isn't right with that.
