Line chemistry NHL 22

line Chemistry:

How much does it even matter?

Does line chemsitry matter when playing and  slow simulation games?

Need to know asap always freak out when I have a negative on a line

  • @aaamohn I don't think it affects real time simulation or when playing games

A simple way to get rid of the negative chem. on a line is to give a player a 'good X-Factor' (Stick em up, tape to tape, shnipe, third eye). Just not a defensive one as those do nothing for chemistry

I don't think anyone actually knows how it works. Your guess is as good as the players...or developers. I mean line chemistry properties that coaches have as preferences for forwards don't even exist for prospects...ie: "Carry" "Efficient" and "Dont Block"...good luck getting defensemen prospects with a preference of balanced/balanced

This game is all kinds of wrecked...and franchise mode is on the shallow end of the hockey pond.

  • @aaamohnI am not sure if it affects simulating games, but I do know it affects how quickly younger players will develop. If your rookie is on a +5 line, his stats will improve much more quickly. I've tested this with Aatu Raty, Elias Salomonsson and Theo Rochette over multiple franchises. When they're on +5 lines they always advance to elite potential. When they're not, they end up top 6 F and top 4 D.

With what has been said, it doesn’t really help a player who is 23-24-25, between 70-79 overall, a Medium Top 9F. I’ve only ever been able to get them to grow to a medium top 6F for a year and if they dip slightly in the points production, the will drop drastically. @EA_Blueberry, the developers need to change this so WE THE PLAYERS, can dictate how our young stars develop with our coaches by allowing us to edit every single thing with the franchise mode! This includes owner types, coaches chemistry schemes, every thing about a player including where he fits within a particular line.
