LOST CONNECTION
1st of all don't tell me it's my connection I have a 400 Msecond connection and my xbox one is hot wide I have no problems with any other games and NHL21 was flawless. I literally lose connection dur...
This is literally happening to everybody, fix your servers EA. I can’t even play a single game without me or my opponent getting kicked out, it’s ridiculous.
There was an issue yesterday that has now been resolved. Are you still losing connection frequently?
It’s possible you’re not getting a lot of reports because you don’t make it easy to report. I would think you guys would know the stats already. How many teams are winning and then disconnect and get a DNF loss? I’ve been getting more connection errors than usual since this recent update this week, but it seems to be improving. Today, however, my club was 20-0, we were up 3 goals with one minute left and we paused it and took a timeout. Then the game disconnected. We figured the other team quit but then we got the loss. We both under 30ms ping with no packet loss. I’m on a PS5 with a wired connection and all ports forwarded as per portforward.com. Like that murder guy that’s complaining too, it really is BS when you’re a good player/team and EA starts cherry picking who they want to win. Makes you not even want to play because you can’t compete against teams 80-0 that isn’t served with the “EA special”
I’m happy to provide you with more details about my connection, but we can skip the first hundred questions in troubleshooting because I’ve gone through it a hundred times every year. I don’t know what other games are like I only play NHL and I log like 1000 hours annually on it like a full time job
We're aware that there are times when a game ends and it ends up not counting, but when you take a loss, that's normally due to someone disconnecting and then having only one human player left. Since you can't play with just one human in WoC, the disconnect happens that team gets the loss. We'll definitely keep monitoring the servers for any issues. Let me know if you change your mind about connection troubleshooting.
One other thing you can try is updating all the customizations for your team/arena. Possibly, something here is bugged and causing the game to end.
Don’t know how relevant this is but I too am having a similar issue. My PS5 randomly crashes at different times during my time on it & requires me to unplug my A/C cord then plug it back in. It only happens with the PS5 version. Whether I’m in game or just waiting in lobby to get a match. I only run WoC so I can’t speak for other game modes. Any troubleshooting advice would be helpful.
thanks much in advance.
I hate to admit when EA turns out to be right, but it happened to my buddy again when he was playing with someone else so he thinks it might have been him. I’ll try your suggestion as well. At least it gives me something to do to feel better when I feel like blaming EA lol
appreciate the response
Do you mean crashes like it closes and asks to send a report to Sony? Or do you mean like completely freezes so you can’t even open menus or reset it or anything?
Thanks for the reply. I mean like shuts off my console, unplug a/c cord, re plug and them am told my ps5 was shut off wrong. No report option at all. Only happens with ps5 NHL 22. I got a power bar so I’m not plugged into the wall outlet. So I don’t know. It’s only been happening just recently. Also I’ve tried safe mode deleting cache, rebuilding database, and turning off any timers or auto synch save, etc & nothing seems to help.
This happened to me once. Have you tried deleting the game and re-downloading/installing it again? After I did that it hasn’t happened again. I was also playing with another guy that said it happened to him and he just had to wait a few minutes and then it would unfreeze. Didn’t work for me though I had to do what you’re mentioning, rip the plug out of the wall. Hopefully reinstalling will help.
I've been experiencing a Laggout for a few days now.
Get into a game is okay, but once it starts, I'll end up lagging at a certain point (speedy gameplay or choppy) and then Lost Connection.
I don't care about the DNF/Disc Losses, I just want to enjoy a full game, which I haven't been able. NHL is the only game I have issues with, and the only device that has any issues.
Can't reset Router as it is fiber within my building.
Your console might be overheating. Make sure the vents are clear and it's in a well-ventilated location.
Sounds good. Let me know what happens.
Unfortunately, not being able to power cycle your router could be a problem. Are you playing on a wireless connection as well?
Thanks for the reply. I have tried that as well & it still happens. To be clear I mean the PS5 version of NHL 22 on the PS5 console. Running NHL 22 PS4 version on PS5 has no issues. It’s a problem that has just recently become a issue. But I’ll do the vent cleaning more throughly and see if that will help will solve this issue. Any other suggestions let me know. Thanks much.
Thanks for clarifying that. Is your console in a well ventilated location as well?
Yes. But now whatever has happened since your reply I haven’t had the crash or whatever it was that was happening since. Thanks for the assistance, having great time running NHL ps5 version again.
Looking forward to what you guys got planned for NHL 23 or whatever your future plans are.
Great! Glad to hear it's working now. If you have any other issues, let us know. As far as what's coming down the road goes, when we have some news, we'll relay that here and on our official channels. Keep an eye out!
