NHL 15 Freezes PS3 completely

I have had my PS3 freeze up entirely over a dozen times in the past week. It always happens when I'm in the trade area and I press O on the controller to back out of a screen with cards to the search menu. 

The second place where this happens is when I try to simulate from one day to another on my live the life player. Jan 9 to the 10 sim always freezes the system up complete. PS3, playing on the Halifax Mooseheads. It was also the game in which I passed all my requirements for the season. 

$70 on the game

$45 post game on packs, but I've stopped myself from paying for another $40+ in the past few special pack offerings. 

Yeah it's not alot but I'm sure there are others like me out there and EA is leaving money on the table. Something I'm sure investors would not be happy to hear.

When I say that my system freezes, I have to press and hold the power button to turn off the system and re-start it. It asks for a report to be sent, which I do everytime, then it asks to check the hard drive, which I was doing everytime (says it takes 2-3 hours, acutally takes under 5 minutes for myself) The last few times I stopped doing this.

I did speak to someone in your chat room, but they suggested deleting my NHL file and re-installing. This is a very laughable solution, This isn't fixing the problem, and there is no way to prove that this isn't going to happen again. 

Please find a way to fix this game.

FYI, I typically only purchase NHL games every two years due to them being the same from year to year. I"m thinking that I should have waiting another year. Fix your game. I will be submitting a complaint to Amazon regarding this game. It's not much, but what else can I do.
